Why does my speaker heat up when i only have the volume on both the line and master half way? Also it smells like when you burn the plastic on a cable....

I got a pair of these to boost my home party setup. I run these through an Allen & Heath Zed60-14fx mixing board with a 15" Klipsch sub. Total wattage of my setup is 5000 watts (1300x2 for these speakers, 1000x2 for my Behringer 15" speakers, and 400 watts on the sub). There are many things I like about these beyond the price. They have built in limiters to keep you from overdriving the speakers. They have an output to chain them to other speakers. There are gain controls built into the speakers to adjust both the output and the line output. They have two inputs so if you wanted to hook a mic directly to the speaker you could without having to pass through a mixing board. This makes them ideal for karaoke as you can cut down on the equipment you have to tote around if you want. You can mount them on the poles or lie them down for use as a studio monitor or sub. They have a few preset sound profiles on-board for basic music playback, live music, and dedicated sub.As far as the microphone that comes with it, it's fine. It's a single channel mic, and I got two because I purchased two speakers. As they are single channel mics, you cannot use both at the same time. This is kind of annoying, but hey, other than that the wireless mic isn't bad. If someone knows how to use both at the same time, let me know. The instructions that came with the mic are terrible. Fortunately, they work well right out of the box. It has decent range and does a good job.The stands are decent, but hardly heavy duty. I found the speakers do not sit snugly on them, and they don't feel particularly stable as the pole doesn't set deep into the speaker box. Still, for the price of the whole setup, it's not a bad deal and is certainly workable. The important thing is that the speakers sound terrific, and the accessories are kind of an add-on bonus. These even come with some longer cables, so you don't have to buy those separately. This was a very nice addition. My only real complaint is that the power cables that came with the speakers are short. I believe these came with 6' cables, and they should have shipped with at least 10' cables. I had to buy longer power cords to be able to spread the speakers apart more. It would've been nice if these had included bluetooth so you could quickly pair a tablet or phone with them. My Behringers have that feature built-in, and it's certainly nice for when other people want to take over the music for a bit. With bluetooth, you don't have to deal with everyone's cable hassles. For my purposes, these were a great deal for some great sound.
