I bought this hoping it would be a sweet, screen free way to connect with my daughter—and it’s become one of our favorite things. The setup was super easy (no app, no fuss), and I was able to start recording right away.One of the best parts is that I had my parents record themselves reading one of my daughter’s favorite books. Now, every night at bedtime, she asks, “Can Nana and Papa read me a book?” It melts my heart. We live in different cities, so before this, having them be part of her bedtime routine just wasn’t possible. Now it feels like they’re here with us every night.The audio quality is clear, and the device is really kid-friendly—my daughter figured it out easily and loves using it.If you’re looking for a meaningful way to stay connected with your kids or grandkids, especially from a distance, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s thoughtful, easy to use, and honestly a little magical. Will be my go to gift from now on!

AmazingFantastic customer service!I recommend for anyone with a Yoto Player! My child is able to record stories and songs which I then put on a Yoto card playlist. I love not having to hand over my phone for my kiddo's long-winded recording sessions 🤪.

I bought this for my nephew who lives in a different city so I could read his favorite books to him while I’m not in town. It’s really easy to record (and re-record) on each of the 12 buttons. I used some of the buttons for story time and some to practice colors, numbers, and sounds. It’s a great toy for kids who love the TV remote since it looks similar and has buttons to press. It comes with a charger too so his mom doesn’t have to worry about replacing batteries!

This is such a great voice recorder with limitless uses. It is super simple to use and has a detailed and easy to understand instruction booklet with it. They included a carrying strap and clip as well. I love that I can upload the recordings to my computer. This would make a great gift for so many from students to grandparents. One of the things I am using it for is to record my life and family stories, family recipes, advice and thoughts for my children and grandchildren to have when I am gone. I also am using for business reminders which eliminates the thousands of sticky notes everywhere. The battery lasts a long time as well. Great value!

This is a very functional, well made voice recorder. It's lightweight and compact. It's easy to use and the audio is very clear. The battery appears to be very powerful. I'd recommend it.

I love to write. I've filled so many books and basically anything I can find. When a thought occurs I find pen and paper. Sometimes sharpies and box lids.😁 I have boxes of scraps of envelopes, backs of receipts and so much I need to preserve. I write poems daily. Sometimes !any times a day. I write my vivid dreams too. O don't mind sharing them, but my papers are my treasure. My family and friends love to hear me tell my stories from childhood, my dreams and my poems. They'd rather hear me tell it than read it. They say nobody can tell it like me!😁 So this will become a cherished voice for my children and grandchildren. If I fill it up? Ill just get a few more. Right now I'm practicing with leaving messages for my household on it and reading short stories to get comfortable with being recorded. I know sounds silly doesn't it? My daughter said she was gonna hide it and get me to talking so I'd never know and then the story would be more genuine. Its capabilities are enormous! A great value for what it offers.

At first I was nervous on the ease of use without having a screen, but after using this a few times I don't miss the screen. I do wish it had a battery level indicator because I don't like to charge something until it gets low, or get caught off guard with a dead battery, but so far the batteries held up for several uses out of the box.The microphone is very sensitive it can pick up my voice from across the room and the speaker can project enough volume to be heard across the room clearly. The microphone itself is more of a stationary device for recording, I tried using it with the lanyard for when I'm brainstorming, but it will pick up the motion over fabric and the recording has heavy static over the top. It works impressively well if you leave it stationary, I have not tried it clipped to a book yet because I'm concerned about the sound of the page is flipping.At first I was concerned about how easy it was going to be to use it without having a screen to select the file I'm looking for, or see the file names for where to save things, but I keep a little cheat sheet that I write down what recordings I have saved, and I like being able to set number ranges for certain categories. At first I didn't understand why there wasn't an option to delete previous recordings, but then I realized I can just record over the top of them so that's not an issue. I appreciate the fact that I'm able to connect it to the computer and back up the recordings because I want to be able to save them for later usage. The playback feature is nice but I do wish that there was a continuous play option without having to pick the next recording. The other issue is not having an expandable memory card to allow more recording space.
