Undid the first 5 fasteners in the passenger wheel well. Turned the wheel as far right as possible. There was plenty of room to hook up the scoop.

It fits my 2000 GMC Sierra, mates to my Volant cold air intake. I didn't really notice any performance difference, all I know is that it reduced the balance in my bank account.

This fit my 2003 GMC Sierra, 5.3L. I bought this as a replacement for one I had years ago, that one fell out on the highway I guess. This model seems to be updated. You remove the single tow hook bolt from the bottom with a 18mm wrench and slide the scoop in behind the tow hook and replace the bolt thru the scoop into the tow hook. I don't remember the old model having this hole for the bolt. This is a good update so the scoop can't fall out. The tube fit well, there was only a gap of 1/2" or so between the scoop tube and the tube out of the bottom of the air box. So the 3" silicon sleeve easily sealed that up. I also purchased the pre filter (Volant 51906) as recommended to stop water infiltration.

works great, but is a real pain to get hooked up, the tube is a little too short and does not stay together over time

This fit my 2004 Tahoe, although a little tight. It might be that I mounted it closer to the airbox (by an inch?) than it should be, but I was able to bolt the lower end in, just a tight fit. I removed the right front wheel well panel in order to access the area under the airbox and clamp the scoop to the airbox. Then I put the panel back.Haven't really used it on the freeway yet, but I'll post some numbers later.

I don't know how they managed to list this so badly because this does NOT fit a Dodge Ram. It fit a 99-06 Chevrolet/GM, any engine size. [...]UPDATE:Dec. 24, 2014 & I encountered a lady that didn't understand the red light & she managed to total the Sierra. A month later I bought a 2001 GMC Yukon & moved the whole Volant set up over. Of course it fit the Yukon just fine too (same front end/same engine).

I bought this for use on my 2004 GMC Sierra as this is also the part number for use on my truck. It is completely invisible to onlookers when mounted properly, as it sits behind the passenger side tow hook. Because this location increases the potential to bring water into the airbox (especially if in mild flood conditions) I also purchased a .005 micron Volant pre-filter for my PowerCore filter to prevent the ingress of water into the engine through the intake.I didn't expect a performance gain from this or from my Volant CAI because I understand that the minor air temperature reduction the CAI and scoop provide will really only be relevant at WOT (wide open throttle) ... which isn't where I tend to have my throttle.
