As a new gel print artist, I found that this item gave me more control than a roller. I am able to hold and grip the baren with more control using the handle. This slides and glides smoothly and effortlessly.

This was a gift for a former significant other who does a fair amount of gel printing and other artistic projects.Despite some buildup and discoloration on the bottom of the baren, making it slightly less smooth, the product is still decent for what it's designed to do.The handle is a comfortable fit as well, which was the primary reason I'd gotten it for her, because I wanted her to have something she could hold and apply pressure to without straining her hands at all.

This is a handy tool for Gelli Printing and Cardmaking! I use multiple barens in my craft studio. This resin baren has a smooth bottom as opposed to the felt bottom of my other tools, making it perfect for Gelli printing. I love the size, which allows me to apply pressure to a larger area. The baren is easy to clean; wipe it with a wet cloth.en pleased

I have another stainless steal baren for block printing, which is excellent, but it is not ideal for using with my gelli plates. I saw this and decided to order it. It's well made and much heavier than I expected, which is great. The rounded edges will help with getting a good press when using it with the gelli plates. The handle is also comfortable to grip.

i'm really loving this baren made of high quality epoxy resin. i have a plastic one and a metal one and they both sometimes leave marks on the back of my prints when applying pressure when block printing; this one does not. it's very smooth and feels good in the hand. easy to use to apply pressure. i also intend to use it for gelli printing. feels nice in my hand. decent price for the quality. very happy with it.

So glad to have this. It is heavier weight than my other baren and better for use on my gelli plate. It ensures I get even pressure on the paper I am printing on the gelli plate. The handle makes this much more comfortable to hold than the typical handle that comes on a barren.

I love the idea of this product. Unfortunately it came to me with a scratched bottom. I ordered it in white.It might be possible for me to sand it smooth. I suspect that it wasn't a new product and Amazon sent a previously returned product to me to do a Vine review. I had this experience once before with another product and the manufacturer offered to send me a replacement.The baren is easy to hold in my small hands, and has a substantial diameter for it's footprint, about 3.5-4" across its circular base. The handle is has about a 3" grip that is about 1" in diameter.I like that there is a choice between white and black.I feel that it was designed well, but because of it being scratched I am taking two stars away.If it were not scratched I would provide a 5-star review.

This stamping tool gives you a nice clean, even pressing or image. It is large enough to do a larger stamp, but also small ones. It is covered with a smooth, soft material so it glides over the stamp easily. The design you can really get pressure on your stamp. It is a very easy to use and very easy to hold. It does not cramp your hand at all. And it is priced very well for the quality of this stamping press.
