Excellent clarity and not too heavy. Really really good customer service too. Had to repair a damaged set 6 years later and they were unable to repair so Vortex replaced them no questions asked. 10/10.

Really good high class binoculars, I have just been to New Zealand and used them on whale watching and birding they produce a very good clear image. I had a pair of cheap bins that I had used for 6 years as they were what I could afford at the time, it is like going from a cheap run around car to a high end performance car. Looking forward to using them on safari later in the year.

I had a pair of Steiners that I thought were the best, but these are even better. Great quality, feel good in your hands and absolutely crystal clear, even in low light.Bought to be used on Safari in Botswana - helped us to spot some amazing animals. Everyone in our group was fighting over them and two of my friends have already ordered their own pairs. Great product, and the lifetime warranty means these are just ridiculous value. Couldn't recommend more.

Cold not be happier. Bought along with a pair of Bushnell XLT Bone Collectors and really glad I did. Right away, the Vortex are slightly better in my estimation after a solid hour of side-by-side comparison and are smaller and feel more sturdily built. Optically, I'd give them a 2-3% edge in all-around clarity, light transmission, focus, and control. These will go in my main pack, the others in my truck for everyday on hand availability. Both sport what sound to me like identical warranties which are essentially no questions asked- Vortex is known to lead the industry here, so one can be comfortable putting them to use regularly. I waffled a bit on getting one good set of ED glassed binocs, but kept coming back to having 2 pairs that in my eyes are close enough rivals to ED quality. Being more a weekend warrior and occasional hunter, I could not justify the cost/benefit.Light transmission is excellent, close focus is remarkable at 6 feet, controls are sturdy and hold their place well, focus is smooth. No aberrations yet detected out to 1/2 mile view. I do recommend the Vortex harness as an enhancement to carry. The hand feel is very comfortable, though larger hands may not agree- as with any optic in this size/design.**Low light- at more than 30 minutes after dusk, the clarity and ability to see was remarkable as well. At 100 yds. was clearly able to make out objects the naked eye could not see, lines were sharp, colors identifiable.***After more use, I am picking up some chromatic aberration- in this case a steel pole against a cloudy sky and found a faint blue line on one side, red on the other. Still, the clarity was on, not going to let it change my rating, it was minor.I'm more than pleased with this purchase and extend the highest recommendation I can extend for a price/performance balanced optic.

Bought these for my kid. Thought for the price they would do and help her want to glass longer in the field. We just got back from a hunting trip for Axis deer and she really liked this scope. When we first looked through them I was impressed. Glass was clear, easy to focus and with good binocular holder it wasn't to big for her to wear.It comes with straps but I never use them. Bino holders allow you to move freely with them not bouncing around or wearing out your neck.Anyway, good product and warranty.Daughter got 2 nice deer on 2 day hunt.Vortex binoculars helped her spot first deer in low light under trees bedded in shade over 600yds away. We had fun spotting game at long ranges too. But we knew our limits and had several good stalks which lead to a 2 deer tally for a very fun weekend.I know these worked well for her and kept her glassing much longer then lower quality binoculars would have. If glass isn't clear and field of view to small kids get bored. This Vortex 10x was powerful enough and not shaky for her to spend time viewing without eye fatigue. Buy them, they work, aren't too heavy and have decent hard case for travel and storage.

Last year I had purchased a pair of Redfield Rebel 10x50 for about $135 all said and done, and for the price, I will say those are an excellent set of Bino's, and I always got compliments. This year however, I really wanted something a little lighter weight, as I spend a lot of time on my feet, so any weight I could shed on my neck/back was most welcome. I had a hard time choosing between the Leupold BX-2 Acadias and these. And owning Leupold Scopes, and range finders I was originally leaning that direction, but sadly(or not?), Hunting season was here! and Amazon was not offering Prime on the 10x42's in the BX-2, so I decided to bite the Bullet on these new 2016 Model Diamondbacks. So far I absolutely love them! They are light, but not a "cheap" feeling light. They are extremely comfortable in hand, and very sharp glass quality, surpassing my Redfields(note they are a Leupold Company now) by a small margin! One thing that really stood out in comparison to my old pair is the lighting quality, very clear and bright! especially in lower light conditions! I was beyond impressed. The carrying case it comes with is awesome, and a nice change over many other "pouch style" carrying cases form other manufacturers. Overall I am super satisfied with this set of Binoculars especially given the price tag! I really would have liked to compare the BX-2 & Diamond back side by side, however our local Cabelas was out of stock in both in the 10x42 size, so it is what it is! But I can say I strongly do recommend these! This past weekend I was out with my 2 Brother in laws & my father in law, and they were shocked how bright and clear the image was. Says enough for me!UPDATE 11/3/2016Went in to Cabelas today now that they have both the Vortex Diamondbacks & Leupold BX2's in stock in the 10x42. Comparing side by side, glass quality was neck and neck, but I would almost favor the Diamondbacks in sheer "crisp image" factor. But honestly to close to really call, especially in store. One thing for sure I can tell you is that the 10x42 Leupold BX-2's were a substantial amount heavier, which to me is a con, also far bulkier feeling in general. The feel if the Diamondbacks in hand is far more comfortable than that of the BX-2's. All while the Diamondbacks are $30-$40 cheaper depending on current market value. Vortex get's my call on this one!Update: 5/26/2019Recently picked up a pair of Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide HD's for a price to good to pass up. While edge to edge clarity, and low light conditions are noticeably better, the Diamondbacks are still a crazy good pair of binocular's, especially given the price tag. I was also able to use a pair of Vortex Viper HD's this past 2018 Elk season, they also were a noticeable improvement over the Diamondbacks. Overall this will likely be the last time I update this review. The Diamondback's are probably the best bang for your dollar binocular on the market plain and simple, and really aren't THAT far behind the curve compared to the $600-1000 set's. If you can't successfully spot animals in the field with the Vortex Diamondbacks, you're doing it wrong.
