I wanted a monitor that was not dependent on Wi-Fi but had a long range. It is for monitoring in a cinder block cottage across the yard about 500 ft. away. Both units are in a window facing each other. They stay in range just fine. The volume is adjustable and there are alerts if low battery or if the units lose connection. They set up was super easy. We have an advanced monitoring system for an elderly person, but sometimes she can't press her call button, and of course when there's bad weather, the system may malfunction or lose power even though we have generator backup. Only one unit has battery backup, but the other home gets switched to a generator so the plug in unit is back on right away. This system is the perfect solution for when those issues occur to detect any alarms going off with her medical equipment.

The sound quality is good, it lets me know when there's noise, but the battery doesn't last very long after a while

The picture of this product on Amazon clearly shows that this monitor has a “noise light” feature that lights up when a sound is detected. Nice for when you’d like a visual rather than audio notification. However, the one I received after ordering does NOT have this feature. There is a space for it, but it doesn’t light up. I’m not happy about that because this was an important feature to me. Also, for whatever reason, the parent unit occasionally “drops out” and loses connection to the baby base unit. It will reconnect automatically after three or four seconds, but it shouldn’t be dropping out in the first place.

Love this baby monitor....has extended range that works great! We live in a 3 story home with kids rooms on top level and we can take all the way to the bottom level, in our backyard (on opposite side of the house) and still get reception! We have 2 and have no problems. Also, love the talk back feature.

This works very very well! I love the fact I can talk to my baby if I'm busy and cant get to her right away. I love that theres a nightlight built in so I dont have to turn on lights to see her or change her diaper in the middle of the night. So glad I got this!

I love the battery life on the monitor, it lasts so long I never have to worry about it dying while my son is taking a nap and I am doing house work! I bought this as a refurbished item, but you would never know it was previously used. It works like I would expect a brand new baby monitor to work! The two-way feature is great for when my husband or older kids need something when I'm upstairs with our infant son, it's loud enough I can hear it but not so loud that it wakes a sleeping baby.I definitely recommend this baby monitor!
