This is a great basket! Very sturdy and big enough for my dachshund mix (21 lbs) to lay down comfortably in. We tested it with a 25 lb dumbbell before we put her in. The only issue is had was trying to attach the legs to my bike. I had to take the wheel off and place the bottom legs on the inside because of the way my frame is bent. Otherwise it was an easy assembly!

My dogs pekingese, her bed and my purse fit in it nicely. I needed time to get used to manoeuvre my bike, because it is a bit heavy with my 12 pound dog and my stuff in it, but I got used to it.I can fit in it two shopping bags (without a dog).It is hard to park my bike with the basket loaded, as the weight would flip it over. Besides because of the basket size, it was imposible to park or hang it on a rack tight with other bikes.Any way, while my neighbors probably hate me, I love my basket; and my dog loves it as well.

This was a great find! I have had many baskets break. I ride my bike usually to get groceries. This will be the last basket I will have to buy for a while! I have a beach cruiser bike with a toddler seat on the back and this wonderful sturdy basket on the front. It's big enough for my cooler and I added a couple of bungies to secure my bag and viola! It's big enough that I could take my dogs if I wanted! Great basket with a great price tag, better than anything that's offered at the local bike shops!

It’s huge, it’s a munster basket. You want to think twice before you buy it as it’s a very and I mean very serious basket. The first thing that struck me was who ever design his basket must have did frame work for high rise building that how strong this basket it is. The second is the ingénues design of how it mounts. Where the basket mount on my trike is a narrow space and I thought this is going to be a busted flush but to my surprise and delight the way the mounting are setup is you do the straps to the handlebar and then to a bar on the basket, this way you can move it up on the curb of the handlebars to a degree. As usual the instruction are universal fuzzy, not to worry, the long screws for the handlebar other that that its all down hill from there. One of the trick if you don’t have a friend to help you is to put a towel or blanket under the basket to prop it up. Next use a plot screw to pull in the legs to make it easer to put in the regular screws. The basket is not bad weight when you ride the bike however check you tire pressure or the basket will tell you its there if you don’t. One thing about it is once you get the setting don’t its not that hard to pull it off for a Sunday ride and to put back on for the week day shopping. All and all my trike from a middle duty shopper to a very serious shop until you drop shopper.One other foot note: Being the basket is wide it might hit the frame of the bicycle so you need to check to make sure there is clearance. The thing that I did to keep it low was to a 1½ strip of rubber that you can buy at a hardware store and use a tie lock around the frame.

I ordered this huge basket online through Amazon. After reading all the reviews, I decided this would be the best basket for our scooter because it can hold so many things. I was right! Mounting it was not an easy task, as all of the reviews stated, but thankfully my husband would not give up. He got it attached perfectly so it holds everything I want it to (including my huge purse).Thanks, Amazon, for another great item!________________February 20, 2013My husband attached this basket to our scooter so we could take the scooter to Laughlin, Nevada. Guess what...the basket worked just great! I could put my huge purse in it and not be afraid that it would be stolen because it was down in the basket and not on top of it. I definitely recommend this basket if you want a big one. For me, the bigger the better and I am so glad I bought it from Amazon.

I ride my bike to work every day, thus I needed a basket big enough and durable enough to carry a briefcase and peripherals. This basket is big enough to accomplish the task and then some. Its made from solid metal, so it can really take some weight (which is exactly what I was looking for). I did, unfortunately, receive the product with parts missing (that's why I'm only endowing said product with four stars instead of the much coveted five). But Amazon replaced it quickly enough, at no extra charge, so no harm, no foul as far as I'm concerned.My only complaint about the product is that attaching the legs to the actual bike is a bit of a chore. You'll need to line up a series of wholes in the legs perfectly. If you can't, then you have to adjust the upper carriage of the basket by disassembling and reassembling it (as many times as it takes to get it right). Once that's done, you have to secure a number of very tiny screws and nuts through the aforementioned wholes in the legs with needle nose pliers. If you don't have steady hands and a bit of patience, then suffice it to say this will not be an easy task for you.If your one of those consumers that expects the product you buy to be ready to use right out of the box, then this product probably isn't for you. If on the other hand you want a quality, heavy-duty, and durable basket, and don't mind donating a bit of your time and energy to assemble it, then this is the one for you.
