I have a v10 excursion that has a tiny flowmaster muffler on it. It was loud and it droned on the highway. This really smoothed out and quieted it down. So far so good.

Cut off the old one. Welded on the new one. Sounds good but it's another 10db louder then the stock muffler.

I bought this to replace the factory muffler on my 2000 Excursion. Easy as pie to change, nothing to alter, just needed 3 3inch clamps and a 3"-3" coupling. Really quiet, I am very impressed.

I installed on my 2000 Ford Excursion. the muffler did lower the sound by 3 decibels. I would have given 5 stars however it is not true bolt on. I had to heat and adjust all three hangers to fit my truck.

OEM quality muffler. Super quiet with a very slight rumble at the tailpipe at idle and no loss of power. Gives a very quiet ride with absolutely zero drone when cruising at freeway speeds. Sitting inside you can hardly tell the truck is running. This was installed on a 2003 Ford Excursion with 6.8 v10.The front joint is expanded to slip over the pipe that comes out of catalytic converter and walker tail pipe slips over this. Muffler and tailpipe only took 30 minutes to replace. Much cheaper than local exhaust place. Muffler, tailpipe and 2 clamps ran about $175

Great product at a great price, fit my 2003 6.8L Excursion perfectly. I installed the muffler (54485) and tail pipe (55365) and it all installed extremely easily with the factory fit and sound. I'm very pleased with this setup. and it only took about 1.5 hours to remove, install, test drive and cleanup!
