I should have listened to the reviews! These are so cute and sentimental to me because my Dad had a base station when I was a kid. So when my grandson asked for them I just had to buy them. We were disappointed when they wouldn’t pick up from one bedroom to the next. They cut in and out and aren't clear so you can’t understand the person talking. Sorry but I returned them. Nerf needs to stick to nerf guns!

I got this Walkie Talkie Set with Base Unit and I'm not that impressed with it. The Base Unit is small, the 2 hand held units are okay, but you cannot hear that great on any of them, especially if talking on the base unit you cannot hear on them hand held and vise versa.Made of plastic and not very thick in my opinion.For the price definitely don't think it's worth it because not able to hear very well on any of them and cannot change channels either. MY OPINION ONLY

The walkie Talkies do not function at all. When turned on, there is a lot of static. As a result nothing can be heard. There is nothing to like about this item. A total waste of money, and time. I would not reccomend the item even for free.

These are such poor quality that they don’t work for their intended purpose. You can’t hear what is being said on any of the three radios. Only the “CB radio” has any type of volume control, but even on full volume, you can barely hear a whisper over the static.In addition, the clips on the two handheld radios are designed in such a way that you almost can’t get the battery cover off without breaking the clips.Absolute garbage.

Grabbed this because my son asked me for some walkie talkies. We are an avid nerf family so I thought this would be a cool addition to all our other nerf gear and guns. This is a lot of fun, and easy to use for my 7 year old! Officially licensed product per the instruction manual.This is a really good set for kids, there is no channel's to change or anything of that sort, so think of it as 'plug and play' type. They are all connected to the same channel and ready to go. These do take A LOT OF BATTERIES. Plan ahead because you are going to need 10 AAA batteries to get going. Each walkie needs 3 AAA and the base takes 4 AAA. So if you are getting these for a gift, plan ahead on needing the batteries too, they are not included. You will also need a small Philips screwdriver to remove the battery covers.We have had no issues with any interference but we are in a rural area, those who maybe in a higher populated area take note these can potentially pickup local interference.I work from home and we homeschool as well, I like the base I can keep it in my office and my son can be doing school work, or playing in the yard and he can radio Mom when he wants to ask something, or just because. The hardest part for us was getting my son to understand that he needs to not mumble and not hold the walkies directly against his mouth. Other than that these work well without issues and even at longer than I expected ranges. My son and his Dad can take a stroll through the forest path behind the house, and my son can still radio me with things they see!Would be a great gift idea for anyone who loves Nerf gear, or any kids really. Comes well packaged, and could easily be wrapped. Good value for the money.
