I initially purchased two hay feeders last week and was so impressed that I ordered another one this week! My miniature horses used to waste a lot of hay, which would end up scattered all over the stall floor. After attaching these hay feeders to the stall walls, I've noticed significantly less wasted hay. These feeders are very effective, and I believe they would be perfect for my larger horses as well.For installation, I visited the hardware store and bought #14 sheet metal screws, 1 inch long. You'll need four screws per feeder. The feeders are very sturdy and can hold at least two flakes of hay. Plus, the shipping was quick!

We purchased this for our sulcata tortoise and pygmy goat because the chickens kept turning their hay bale into a nest. Now, we place a few bricks in at a time and added some fencing around the top edge to keep the chickens out. The tortoise and goat can easily access their hay for snacking.
