This is a well made, high quality cast iron skillet that should last a lifetime if properly cared for. I love its rustic charm!The extra large size is perfect and I will use as a griddle when camping.Once seasoned, this skillet has good even heat distribution and cooks well.Though these wrapped handles look great and make it easy and comfortable to pickup this heavy skillet, I am concerned the bamboo wrap will catch fire when using on my gas stove.I did put the skillet in the oven on low heat when seasoning but I am afraid to use in a hot oven with these wrapped handles.I do wish the instructions came with information about the care and safety behind this choice of handle wrap.

I have Asian roots and having a large skillet like this is a must for making most home made food. It's very big, 14+ inches and has a depth to it so you can actually use it for stir fry. It's thick and heavy and can't wait for it get "seasoned" after some more use. So far it's been perfect for my stew, brisquet, stir fry, bok choi and anything else I feel like cooking. Top marks.

I knew it would be big. But I'm terrible at sizing. I love it. I'm not sure about the burlap handles. Why would they put burlap on the handles? It sheds and I don't want it anywhere near my food. Why not silicone or wood or just exposed iron. The burlap is an absolute ridiculous choice. I fear it'll eventually start falling apart after cleaning it and seasoning it a few times.The skillet itself is massive, and it packs some weight. It's definitely high in quality and I can appreciate that. It cooks evenly. It comes with a sponge and a towel that I used to season it before I used it. I've used it in the oven twice. If not for the handles, this could easily be a 5 star find.

I got this to take camping. My wife took one look at it and now I have to find something to take camping. The size and quality of this wok are second to none. It's definitely all cast iron and was quite heavy (as it should be).It came with directions for ensuring it is properly seasoned (not that my wife needed those; but, I would have).

Even heat. Doesn't take long to heat up whole pan. Nice to cook in, responsive to lowering hear. Easy to wash a and treat. Comes with a nice scrubber and an oiling cloth to keep pan at its best.

I got this pan the other day, and I was just able to season it to make it non-stick and try it out. This skillet is high-quality and heavyweight. It allows me to get consistent seasoning and a more even sear. I made fried rice on it, and it was very nice. I was able to get a nice burnt texture without too much effort. I leave it on the stove when cooking because it is a little heavy to lift up and toss the rice.The thing I really dislike about this product is the handles. Although they make it easy to grab when hot, I do not think the handles will hold up with daily washing and use. They will fray at the handles, and soon enough, a bunch of threads will be hanging out. If they had made it like a regular handle, this product would easily be 5 stars. Look at the image I attached, very slight frailing already.

Heavy duty cast iron skillet with two handles. The large skillet measures over 14 inches around. Once seasoned, the skillet is easy to clean and great for use on the grill. The heavy bottomed pan distributes heat very evenly.
