Bought for family gathering. Did brunch and kept everything warm. ( was worried about eggs, but they were nice and warm.!) Love how it grows up nicely to tuck away until next use.

This food warming mat is a fantastic solution for keeping meals at the perfect temperature! It’s easy to use—just plug it in, and it maintains a steady, gentle warmth. The surface is spacious enough to hold multiple plates or dishes, and it’s perfect for buffets or family dinners. The mat heats evenly without drying out the food, and the material is durable and easy to clean. A must-have for anyone looking to keep food warm during gatherings or while serving meals!

I honestly have nothing to compare this warming mat to so I'll go off of my own impressions without comparison to others similarly priced. The mat is quite compact and easy to roll up or lay down flat. The storage bag didn't hold up long and tore after one use of packing the mat back in it.The mat does take about 15 minutes to heat up to the highest temperature. Keep in mind this needs a plug. I saw it mentioned camping as a way to utilize this but unless you are lucky enough to have electricity handy, this is pretty much pointless to take a long. This keeps food warm that is already hot. As for warming up food or drinks from cold, it will take a while. I did test this mat to see how long it would take to heat a cup of warm milk. Nothing scientific but to satisfy my own curiosity. After 30 minutes of the cup sitting on the mat (highest setting) it did feel more room temperature. Maybe a bowl insulating the heat would help? I covered the mug with a mixing bowl and after 40 minutes more checked the milk. It was like warm. I'm guessing to actually get it hot would take a good couple of hours. I didn't want to keep it on that long so unplugged the mat and made a lovely lukewarm cup of matcha tea. I am impressed the countertop it was on did not get hot even after that amount of time.So if you are looking to heat up something from cold or room temperature, this will not be instant and take a while to warm. Better than nothing if this is the only option. As a warming mat to keep hot food warm? This is a good choice as it's well made and sized large enough to fit a couple of plates as well as a few mugs or smaller bowls.I don't know how much I'll use this but it's good to have on hand when my husband has to work later than expected. I prefer this compared to putting his plate in the oven on warm setting as that dries out the food more. I do suggest using foil to cover the food, as that helps retain moisture and warmth.

This is are review for Karienvir Warming Mat for Food 500W, Upgrade High-tech Graphene Food Warming Mat, Silicone Warming Tray, Heating Fastly in 10s, 7MM Raised Feet, 6 Level Temp & 6 Timer Setting, Warming Tray Rollable, BeigeThis is a very handy kitchen accessory if you like to cook, bake and/or entertain. I've used the traditional hard top warmers but I've never used this soft silicone style so I was excited to see how well it functions. My first impression was that it's surprisingly compact! Very convenient for storage, it rolls up and can be stored away in a cabinet. The mat is thick, heavy silicone but it's not so heavy that you couldn't easily take it along to potlucks or work functions or to a thanksgiving feast across town. So I also really like that it's a substantial mat but still quite portable too. They include a bag for storage and travel but this is a disposable bag, and will not last more than a few uses. The material used for the bag is paper, if you have any experience in the medical field you'll be familiar with it or if you've ever worn a paper patient gown or paper scrubs, it's the same paper blend and is made for a one time use. So the bag tears very easily and I disposed of it with the packaging. The good news is the mat has a strap to keep it rolled up so you really don't need a bag for storage but it would of been nice to have a sturdy sleeve for travel. I'm not going to remove a star but I think it's kinda silly that they highlight the bag in the product details as a selling point. As far as the mat itself, I think the listing is very accurate. The mat is a good size, you can fit two to three baking dishes on it's surface, depending on their sizes, or a couple plates and few small bowls. An instruction booklet is included, although the mat is pretty self explanatory and easy to use. It takes about 10 minutes to heat up to the max setting and it gets quite hot. There are 6 levels of heat to choose from starting at 122 degrees and maxing out at 212 degrees. There's also a timer that goes up to 6 hours. I didn't have any noxious smells from the silicone, either fresh out of the box or after it heated up either. The underside of the mat has a raised pattern that allows air to circulate and keeps the mat and heat from lying directly on your countertop or table. The raised pattern worked perfectly. I didn't have any hot spots on my baker's wooden top rack, even when I had the mat loaded with hot dishes for about 45 minutes. The first time I used it I had placed some pot holders under the mat and kept checking it but it wasn't necessary, I found that really impressive! The mat being silicone makes it easy to wipe down too and I haven't had any issues with staining. If you have a small kitchen and have to juggle cooking multiple dishes this mat will help but if you're low on counter space make sure you have a kitchen table or something substantial nearby because the mat is 24 inches long and 14.5 inches wide. I have a small kitchen with no extra counter space so I'm placing mine on a baker's rack when I use it.The best thing I used my mat for this past weekend was baking bread. If you're not familiar with yeast, you need a warm and dry environment for yeast to thrive and to keep your bread from becoming a dense brick after it's baked. I usually put my oven on warm then turn it off and place the bowl inside but I've also killed my yeast using this method because the oven was too hot. This mat gives you precise control over the temperature, if you're wondering the first setting of 122 worked wonderfully. I will definitely be using this mat for my bread baking from now on, it's especially helpful in the winter! This mat is great just for making breakfast too. I make pancakes most Sundays and I usually keep my stack of pancakes warm in the oven, till I use all my batter, but sometimes they get kinda crusty and dry that way. This mat will also work perfectly for keeping toast warm, if you've got a large stack to toast up this mat will keep everything hot till you're ready to serve. For most regular meals though, I don't think it's a necessity unless you have a large family. And of course you could get a lot of use out of this for holidays or even Sunday night dinners if you're cooking several dishes.I think it's a useful mat for most people. If you cook I would recommend having one in your kitchen. You'll definitely use it around the holidays and probably for get-togethers throughout the year. Overall, I think the mat is a good value for it's quality and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works! I will continue to use mine and can't wait to try it for game days. I think this will be great on a coffee table loaded up with hot apps!

This is my first experience using a food warming mat. It was very simple to use and is a nice large size. The silicone is quick and easy to wipe clean and I love how the whole thing rolls up for easy storage. If you host parties or holiday dinner this is a must have!
