The first one I received didn’t work, but the seller was great and super quick to send me a replacement! This one works no problems!! I’m totally obsessed with this thing. I LOVE to host and finding kitchen gadgets to make it easier for me is what I love. This is definitely one of them! I’ve already used this thing for so many things, taco night, make your own pizza night, and even for jambalaya with all the fixings!! The heat is perfect and adjustable. I love that you can also set a timer in case you are worried about forgetting to turn it off on your own! It’s also super aesthetically pleasing. Overall, GREAT product!! You definitely need this in your life!!

This is a four star review for the following reasons:POSITIVES: It functions well (enough) so far, and I think it will be useful for keeping food warm during holiday meals or potlucks, and possibly it would actually warm some food up over a few hours. It may be helpful for raising dough, though with the heat source all coming from below, I'm not sure. The mat has variable heat settings that it seems to get in the ballpark of what it says it will. I'm using a meat thermometer to check the temperature, the exactness of which I cannot confirm, but ballpark is good enough for me for this use. I've been using the mat for about a week and have done various tests on it. With the temperature maxed out at 212F, my first test was to place a ceramic mug filled with tap water. It sat for about an hour and the temperature of the water rose from tap cool to room temperature, quite insignificant given that it may have done the same sitting on the counter. The bottom of the mug does not sit flush with the silicone mat, it has the usual shallow rim that is found on the base of most mugs. I attributed the failure of any meaningful temperature change to this feature at the time (but now I have my doubts, due to the cheese melt test below). I then placed two metal flat-bottomed measuring cups on the mat each containing about 3 ounces of water. One of the cups started out with water fresh from the tap (I'm in N. California where the temps are not cold, but pleasantly cool). The other cup had freshly boiled water. I preheated the second measuring cup by placing and swishing some of the hot water for about 45 seconds, then dumping that and refilling it with freshly heated water from the kettle. The ambient temperature in the room was about 65F. The cups sat on the mat for approximately an hour and when I checked them, the water in each was around 122F. The cold cup I assisted by placing a ramekin as a lid after a while as it was so slow to climb in temperature. I placed the meat probe on the surface of the mat and moved it around trying to find hotspots and these were where the cups were placed. The temp probe only registered as high at 185F at the hottest spot I could find. (On another day, I did another surface check and was able to identify spots that registered as high as 207F.) So, I won't be making my tea this way.The next test I did was placing grated cheese on a ceramic bread plate on the mat at 212F. It took about 45 min to be about 90% melted (mushy and oozing oil). The plate had a shallow base rim, as is normal for plates. Finally, I tested the thaw function. I was very surprised that the Thaw temperature is 140F. That seems warm, but the main thing that I thaw is meat, which is done effectively and safely using tap water. In this instance, I had a couple of frozen hotdogs in plastic that I tossed onto the mat on the Thaw setting. I didn't time it, but my estimate is that the dogs were on the mat for over an hour. I flipped them after approximately 30 minutes and at that time they were thawed and slightly warm on the bottom side and still frozen on top. They were warm when I checked them for the final time 30 min or so later. In the future, I will potentially use the thaw setting to thaw frozen lemon juice, but it doesn't seem safe to thaw steaks or hamburger this way.The buttons on the control panel are easy to navigate. The temperature button has several settings ranging from 104-212F. There are also the preprogrammed selections, which may or may not be valuable for what they are labeled as. Also, toggling through the preset selections is no different than toggling through the temperatures. Both are done by pressing the a button repeatedly as it cycles through the options until you land on the temp/item of your choosing. The preset selection does indicate what the temperature setting is once you land on it. There is no going directly to the "Warm Milk" button. Speaking of warm milk, I think it is strange that the temp setting for it is 122F, but the temp to thaw something is 140F. I'm guessing it's going to take a long time to warm milk at this temperature, though I haven't tried it.The mat can be rolled up and stored away and comes with a storage bag.NEGATIVES: The power cord doesn't push in very far and becomes displaced very easily. With even the slightest repositioning of the mat, I've had to reseat the power cord.In my opinion, this mat is aesthetically unappealing. The color, beige, is not to my liking, nor is the shape, though I do think the shape is functional. (The control panel is nice looking, it's the mat that doesn't appeal to me.) Also, the mat is weirdly puffy. The bottom is flat with ridges and little feet to keep it elevated above the countertop, but the top has unevenly distributed air pockets. These pockets get pushed around as items are placed on the surface and when temp checked, are significantly cooler than the low areas. While it is theoretically nice to have preset options, like "Warm Soup", "Thaw", etc., their respective settings may not actually make sense temperature wise; also given that you can't just press "Warm Milk" if you want to run the mat at 122F, you have to toggle through all of the preset options to land on "Warm Milk". It's kind of like when using the microwave, if the 30 second button wasn't a one push option, it required that you select Time, then 30 seconds, then Start. Why would you bother? If it was like an electric pressure cooker and you could adjust the presets to your desired temp, that could be an advantage, but only if you could fine tune them.

Do you like to entertain? Do you hate trying to keep hot foods hot with old school chafing dishes heated, overheated, or under-heated by the open flames of sterno? With this temperature controlled, XXL, electric graphene based warming mat from Anyeye, those days are over.During the holidays, I’ve long struggled to keep multiple dishes at the correct serving temperatures when dishes move from the kitchen to the dining room. I was determined to come up with a solution that worked for both my guests and me.In the past I’ve tried everything from heating pads repurposed from the orthopedic cabinet wrapped in towels, to air activated hand warmers (seriously), to candle warmed covered dishes (they burn food where the candle’s heat is concentrated and leave hard to clean soot residues, too) to sterno heated chafing dishes (sterno stinks) to glorified rigid hot plates (takes up way too much storage). When I saw the Anyeye XXL Roll Up Heating Mat, I knew that I had to give it a whirl. As a self professed tech geek, I was impressed with its innovative use of graphene. Not only is this heating mat flexible (it rolls up and comes with a protective cloth storage bag to boot), but it’s strong, too.I was totally blown away with how big this warming mat really is - it’s THREE FEET long and almost 16” wide. It can literally accommodate an entire buffet. It has precision temperature controls that can hold hot food at temperatures ranging from 122F to 212F and because it employs graphene, it can begin meaningful heat transfer within 10 seconds. This buffet food warming mat is like nothing I’ve seen until now. I love it. Its electronic controls are easy to use and its performance speaks for itself. Not only do you have full temperature control with heat evenly spread across its surface, but it comes with a built in timer as well - remembering to turn itself off so you don’t have to.If my grandmother that taught me to cook was still living, there is no doubt that I would have to buy a second one of these units for my own use because she would have claimed this one before the dishes were put away. I couldn’t blame her either!Cleanup is easy and storage is a breeze once the mat has cooled. It simply rolls up and goes into its supplied cloth storage sleeve.I’m pretty sure that I’m going to get another one of these mats for the holidays. If you cook and entertain, you need to order one, too.
