These seem to work well, they are well packaged to prevent moisture getting to them which is obviously important. I have only used one as these are for my emergency kit so, ideally, I will never have to use them, but I did test it. They dissolve quickly and they did not make the water taste weird at all. I did test it on regular ol' bottled water from the store, NOT lake water, as I am not a scientist and I have no idea how to see if it actually purifies the water or not. So still taking the manufacturer's word for it. Comes in a small and easy to store package, so ideal for a survival/ emergency kit.

This is a hard to product for review. We intend to use these in the Sierra Nevada’s in late June. We embark on a big adventure and use water purification tablets when needed if our filter fails. I have done a lot of research and believe these are a good fit for our active and outdoor lifestyle. Will know more when we return.

I always keep multiple ways to purify water and water tablets are always one of the backups. These work great and we already tested them. No weird taste and they worked like a charm. You get a good amount of them for the price so it's a really good value for these. It basically makes it to where anyone in your family can instantly purify some water without them having to have an in-depth knowledge of it. Super easy, just measure out your water after maybe pre filtering it with a fine mesh, and drop a tablet in and shake and wait. I imagine these will last a very long time so you should follow the instructions for the expiration date. We tested the water at home and had no abnormalities that would be alarming. Just good water to drink when you need it.

The set of 100 water purification tablets offered by Primal Survival Gear may be a life saver if you find yourself in a situation where potable water cannot be readily found. The use instructions are detailed and clear, and each tablet is individually sealed ready for use. One tablet will treat 1 liter of water, or the fuild content of about 3 soda cans. In more turbid water, this dilution can be lessened. It will not solve bacterial content in large particles, so sediment filtering should also be a part of you plan.Having lived for many years in hurricane prone areas and now in the mountings of western Carolina, with it's own challenges in the past couple of years, I feel more confident of being able to survive during natural emergencies. The tablets are portable, have a very adequate shelf life and can be a game chager in emergency situations.

Comes in a very small box. But still has tiny 100 tablets inside (10 separate sleeves containing 10 tablets each). Each tablet can purify 4 GALLONS of water, so this box represents 400 gallons of purified water! All the tablets are hygienically sealed in metallic-like packaging where you push the individual tablets through. The instructions are written on the box and on the inner packaging sleeves, in case I want to separate some sleeves out to put in a hiking backpack or bug-out bag.I got these for emergency purposes and I hope I never actually have to use them. But in case the world goes sideways and I no longer have access to clean water, I can use these tablets to purify out the buggos (like bacteria, viruses, giardia, and other microbes). Before using these tablets, however, I would try to get my water as clean as possible through a filtration method (sun distiller, straw water filter, Berkey system, sand-gravel-charcoal method, series of cotton cloths, or through a peeled pine tree branch). Then I would add 1 of these tablets to 4 gallons of clear water and let it set for 30 minutes to purify. I would also keep some activated charcoal capsules on hand (what hospitals use for food poisoning) to take if I started feeling sick after drinking questionable water. Now, the only issue I have with these tablets is where I’m going to find a receptacle that holds 4 gallons of water if I’m hiking or bugging out? Unless I bring a 5-gallon bucket with me everywhere I go. And the tablets are so tiny, I doubt I’d be able to successfully cut them in half.So I’m left with a few questions about this product. Can I use a tablet in any size container of water up to 4 gallons? Or do I have to use a percentage of the tablet for a smaller amount of water? These tablets are made of sodium dichloroisocyanurate – is this toxic at any level – like if you (or a pet) accidentally ingested a tablet? Speaking of pets, is it safe for animals to drink the water that has been purified by these tablets? If I store some individual sleeves in my car, which lives in the hot sun, would that degrade the tablets faster? Can I extend the shelf life of the tablets by putting them in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers in the freezer? Are the sleeves completely waterproof – would the tablets remain ok to use if the package got wet? Just some things I’d like to know.

They work but aren't easy to get out of package. I'm sure that is to keep them sealed the 5 year shelf life, but couldn't be a little easier for old guys like me?
