I only use proprietary Waterman ink for my Waterman fountain pens. The product is perfect—when it's delivered in usable form. I'm returning my second order of these cartridges to Amazon today, as they have twice been delivered crushed after not being packaged appropriately. Whether that is the fault of the original vendor or Amazon, I don't know, but a thin cardboard container with breakable contents needs a little more padding than an envelope (or, in the second case, a think bubble envelope) to make it to the purchaser intact.

Ink is getting harder to find thank goodness for Amazon. Ink came quickly and as described.

I've used different brand refills for my Waterman fountain pen but these work the best...no leaking when pen is in use and the color is good, and the color doesn't smear like others.
