It was fantastic while it works, but it frequently does not have good ink flow. Quite an expensive refill to be low quality with poor QC. Won't be buying OEM refills from Schaffer from now on.

Many years ago, when I graduated from college, I was gifted a heavy black and gold Schaefer Pen from one of my old professors--who had become a dear friend as he gently guided me into a career in higher education. He passed shortly after that day and I have come to cherish the pen, thinking of him and his fidelity to his students, each time that I use it.

I have and use Sheaffer pens. Office Depot is the only place I used to be able to buy refills and there are noOffice Depots anywhere near me any more, and Staples doesn't carry Sheaffer pens or pen refills.This was reasonably priced and it arrived right away.Thank you !

Have this very nice Sheaffer ballpoint, given to me as a gift and it ran dry 2 years ago. Most of my writing is now done on a keyboard, but I always missed using my favorite pen. Could never find the correct refill, until I located this one on Amazon. It was affordable, the perfect fit and writes as smoothly as the original. My favorite writing instrument is back.
