If its not completely flat on the neck the bottom knurl will crack and fall off. That's what mine did. Aided by the fact there is no felt washer included. For this price I would have expected a much stronger denser wood.

Bought this to replace the chrome hardware on my Taylor acoustic. While the replacement strap peg is deeper than the stock one, the difference in length is still dramatic, such that I ran out of screw hole before the peg came anywhere near flush with the guitar body. Had to order felt rings to bridge the distance.The materials themselves are of fine quality, but I'm not interested in splitting the wood on the neck of my guitar to make it fit. Why on earth is the screw so long?

Exceptionally beautiful snakewood guitar strap button. It adds a classy upscale look vs a standard metal button. I placed a small round white felt spacer under the button and that really set it off.

While this strap button is a little expensive compared to others, my high end acoustic guitar already had Waverly snakewood tuner keys so I decided this would be a better choice than just a chrome button. No issues with the hardware, well made, the screw is plenty long to provide peace of mind that it won't fall off from use, and the button size provides a nice purchase on my strap.

I got two of these snakewood buttons to install on my Takamine classical from the 90's. I've been considering a strap for a number of years: decades twisting my back and shoulders using a footstool convinced me (albeit slowly) there was something about the traditional posture that's fundamentally incompatible with my body proportions.The late Aaron Shearer advocated installing an eye hook along the fingerboard edge to attach his custom-designed strap. That solution was an aesthetic bridge too far for me but, after trying suction cups, wraparound straps and slings, I decided to go a "different strain of traditional" and install a strap button along the underside of the heel and one in the guitar base, as I have on my Martin O-M. Using strap buttons gives me options to try different strap fabrics, widths, etc.I would have preferred darker, perhaps "antiqued" screws, but I've gotten used to the gold and especially like the rounded tops. Thanks to the gold bushings, they sit flush with the button surface and really give a classy look. I hand-drilled a 1/16" pilot hole to protect against splitting, even though the mahoghany neck is quite soft wood.

Be aware that this product does not come with felt. In my opinion at this price it certainly should.

とても綺麗で、購入して良かったです。品があるしかし、スネークウッドで検索しますと、世界一高価な木材それに割れやすいとありますが、この部分が気に入らないですねギターようなのだからローズウッドで何故作らないの？

高級ペグを製造しているWaverlyの製品なので全く問題ありません。ただ、ギターとの接触面にはさむフェルトは付属していないので別途用意が必要になります。

つけたかったギターのペグボタンはスネークウッドでしたから、期待して取り寄せましたが、どこがスネーク？とう言う感じで、ただ少しダークな木目という感じでした、ショップで取り付けをお願いしたのですが、締め付け時にツバの部分にヒビが入っていました、取り付けの問題もあるのでしょうが、本来スネークウッドの密度のある粘りは感じられませんでした。柄はハズレの部分でしょうか？単なるダークウッドでした。
