This is a very heavy duty stand for laptops. Once the position is set it stays in position unlike some I have used in the past. It provides a useful selection of ports with 2 USB-C ports on the back basically dedicated to providing power and connecting the laptop as well as 2 sets of video ports and a gigabit RJ45 Ethernet. On the front face there is another USB-C as well as 3 x USB-A, unfortunately only one of which is USB 3.0. This is probably enough as keyboards and mice don’t benefit from USB 3.0 but it would have been nice to have all at the higher specification.External video is via DisplayLink which means that drivers need to be installed. This isn’t a problem with my Windows laptop but it does leave my Linux laptop out in the cold.Overall it’s a solid unit that helps keep everything connected with only a single cable to your laptop when docking or undocking.

I wasn’t expecting much from the friction stand, but it actually feels pretty solid and stable—which was a nice surprise. The Thunderbolt dock works well for data transfer and extra ports, though I found it didn’t pass power through to my laptop. Turns out my laptop needs more juice than this dock can deliver, so not really a fault of the dock itself. That said, a few more USB-C ports would be great—never enough these days, right? Overall, it’s a useful setup, especially if you don’t need it to power a beast of a laptop.

Review for the Dual 4K Monitor Support via DisplayLink:I am using the HDMI connections and not the Displayport connections and have not had any issues. There is one glaring concern. There are two removable Media Card readers on this device, and for whatever reason when using Windows 10, the Card Readers will populate in Windows even if there are no Cards inserted in the dock. This is not normally observed for any other card reader that I have used in the past, nor other docks with card readers that I own.Caution: If you are planning to use this with Linux, then please verify that your Distribution has drivers available for DisplayLink. If you go to the DisplayLink website not all Distributions are supported out of the box, and as of this writing the driver is not included in the base Linux Kernel.

I'd actually wondered why you don't see a multi-monitor docking station in the laptop stand form factor all over the place. Anyway, WAVLINK has added this to their expansive line of computer connectivity accessories. First things first--it says it doesn't support Linux systems but if you know what you're doing you won't have any trouble. I've used it with a variety of Linux distros including my current 'daily driver' laptop running Ubuntu. It may be distro dependent but I've found that if you use one of the more widely support distros (eg: Ubuntu) there's not many peripherals you can't run.I've also used it with Mac OS and Windows 10 & 11. Should you need to install a driver just hit the WAVLINK website and you'll have no trouble finding the link. I didn't need to install one on any of my test computers but that's a thing that varies from OS to OS and has nothing to do with Wavlink. I found it extremely easy to set up and get running on all of the half dozen or so laptops I tried it with.Once it's up and running, you've got a ton of options. It has a total of 13 ports which not only gives you the ability to use multiple monitors but also gives you plenty of room for other peripherals. Even cutting edge laptops are stingy with USB ports so if you're a 'power user' you can always benefit from more. Data transfer rates are very good and the device supports 80W pass-through charging. I've always been a big fan of WAVLINK products and this is one of my favorites. It's great being able to combine the functionality of a laptop stand and a docking station in one unit. Highly recommended!

I've been using this docking station that doubles as a stand for my laptop for a few months, which has significantly improved my workspace. By elevating my laptop to the perfect eye level, it has cleared my desk and made more space available. The stand positions the laptop screen at the same height as my external monitor, allowing for a seamless transition between screens. The convenience of connecting and disconnecting my laptop with ease has made my daily workflow much smoother. The only improvement I would suggest is adding one more USB-C port. Currently, I'm using the USB-C port on the laptop, which is manageable, but having an extra port on the docking station would be ideal.I've also purchased a desk riser, and together with the docking station, they work exceptionally well. Overall, this is an amazing product that I highly recommend to anyone looking to enhance their workspace efficiency.

This is a docking station and stand that uses USB-C. It's being used for a 4K monitor and MacBookAir M2. It seems to be made out of all metal the case and the stand. It has a USB C port on the front a USB A (3 5Gps) and two USB A (2.0) ports. Also there is a SD card slot and a micro sd card slot on the front. There is a standard headphone jack in the front also. It connects to the computer at USB 3.2 Gen 1 speed of 5 Gbps. On the back is the USB-C for power input, a USB-C to connect to the computer, two HDMI/DVI ports and last a 1000 Mbs (1Gbp) ethernet port.Considering the price, you can get a Thunderbolt 3 dock with USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds and faster. You do get the integrated stand however.

I recently purchased the WAVLINK USB-C Docking Station, and it has significantly enhanced my productivity and workstation setup! This docking station allows me to connect dual monitors, and the performance has been outstanding.Setting it up was straightforward, and I was impressed with the array of ports available. The dual 4K HDMI and DisplayPort connections work flawlessly, providing stunning visuals that really elevate my work and gaming experience. I love having the ability to run two monitors simultaneously at high resolution; it's a game changer for multitasking! The 5Gbps USB 3.0 ports are another plus, allowing for quick data transfers. The inclusion of Gigabit Ethernet gives me a stable internet connection, which is essential for my work-from-home setup. The 100W power delivery feature is a lifesaver as well; it charges my laptop while I work without needing an additional charger. One minor drawback is that, at times, I've noticed a slight lag when waking my displays from sleep mode, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Overall, the performance is reliable, and I appreciate the compact design that doesn’t take up much space on my desk.I would highly recommend the WAVLINK USB-C Docking Station to anyone looking to expand their laptop's capabilities for Mac, Windows, or Chrome OS. I’m giving it 4.5 stars for its great features and functionality!

The notebook stand has a USB-C docking station screwed on from the base. It is a nice docking station, with 80W PD output and USB-C 'DisplayLink' input from a notebook computer. The instruction stated a driver from the manufacturer's website was available but as soon as I got the power, USB-C data input, HDMI out, and network cables all connected, I booted to Windows 11. Before I had a chance to open a browser, the external monitor to which this was connected via HDMI had already recognized and finished configuring the extended desktop.A Lenovo ThinkPad laptop I initially connected had a Thunderbolt 3 port connected via the included USB-C cable and I had a 100W Lenovo power brick connected to its USB-C power input on the back. The notebook supports a DisplayPort via USB-C so this clearly supports the DisplayPort as well. So I don't need to download and install the additional driver from their website as it is on the manual. All in all, it works flawlessly; the power delivery shows that the A/C adapter of 80W is connected, the multi-monitor is configured on its own and the network cable (although not needed) all work without a glitch. The price, however, is a little bit on high side but the quality is bar none.

Expensive device but definitely the best solution for multiple screen issues found with the new macbooks.Super easy to install, just plug all your devices to the deck and connect the deck to your machine. You have the option to connect to your machine via USB or USB type C. Versatile and practical. For better use you need to install the display link app on your laptop. Once this is installed and detects the deck your laptop will be able to share with 2 external monitor while preserving the independent visualization on each screen. No delays and no issues with image clarity. This was the only solution for M1 chip macs that wont display in multiple screens. The one thing to note is that video streaming is no supported with safari when in this sharing mode. However, if you change and use firefox for the streaming the problem is solved and you can keep all your screens plus your streaming or live tv.Totally worth the price. The keyboard works smooth and same the mouse. Now everything is connected to the deck which leaves one of the usb type c ports free to charge your laptop.
