Absolutely beautiful finish and engraving. The rings were a little too big on my horse for my liking so I hung it on a wall hook in my bathroom and I use as a double hand-towel holder.

I have been wanting this bit for a long time. Not only is it beautiful and well made, my horse really seems to like it. I had been using a French Link sniffle and he was rooting at the bit. Not with this one. Love it!

The mouth piece is NOT STAINLESS STEEL! It rusted instantly. I put this bit in the horses mouth once to fit it on my "combo halter/bridle" headstall. I ride side pull 99% of the time but I purchased this bit to use with bit hangers and keep in my bag if needed. I NEVER even used it at all and the bit is rusted less than 30 days after purchase. The bit was in a cloth bag and I live in Arizona so there is zero dampness. This is a complete piece of garbage! DO NOT PURCHASE this product. I let 30 days go by and now I am stuck with it ... one very expensive bit of junk to throw in the garbage can. False advertising to say it can possibly be "Stainless Steel" there is no way! I still have a true stainless steel bit 4 years old with no rust.

Looks great, fits great, doesn't pinch, and is easy to keep clean.Updating my review: Initially I really liked the bit as you can see above. After the 6th use, the mouth piece rusted. A stainless steel bit shouldn't rust. I've never had a bit get rusty, ever. I've had some of my bits since I was 16 years old, I'm 33 now. Now I have a bit I spent a fair amount for that I can't use! I've contacted Weaver leather about it and am waiting to hear a determination in regards to this problem.Update: Weaver says the bit has a sweet iron mouth piece. They offered to replace the bit for me with any other one in their series. I was satisfied with their explanation as my mare does like this bit. I suggested they update their item description to accurately reflect the item as it doesn't state that it is a sweet iron bit.
