Still working on weed control, I could not pass up trying this propane burner one. It gets the job done, but on limited areas. Specifically best in cracks between concrete where regular tools are not very good (like the string trimmer).However I did not get good performance for dense foliage. Yet, that is probably expected.Setting up and starting the torch is straightforward, thanks to its self-igniting mechanism. Need to fill the chamber with gas, and do a second round to start. Easy once you get the hang of it.Overall a very useful tool in the arsenal of weed fighting. And better than chemicals. It is a potent choice for those looking to employ a literal "scorched earth" method in their garden maintenance.

It took me a while to fully test this Weed Torch Burner, as I did not have a propane tank readily available. However, once I made it a point to drive to Sam Walton’s place (they don’t ship) to buy a Coleman propane gas cannister for $5.47, I fired up the unit the following weekend—and it did not disappoint!I got this because I had a LOT of weeds in a bed of white rocks in front of my home, and more weeds in between the slabs of my driveway. It’s a lot of work for my son to pull these weeds out by hand, and I figured it was worth a shot to see if this device delivered on its promise. This unit kills the weeds quickly and doesn’t mar the surface of the driveway or discolor the crushed white rocks. It’s powerful and very easy to assemble and to use. The only caveat is that it’s not as effective if it’s windy outside. That being said, I’m quite happy with my Weed Torch Propane Burner, and will be using it again very soon. : - )

I'm really impressed with this flame weeder. I'm 5' 11" and it's the perfect length to reach the ground with a fully extended arm. It easily attached to my propane bottle and after opening the valve and waiting a second for the gas to flow, it ignited on the first try.It puts out an insane amount of heat, you feel it on your face while it is on the ground. It easily burned away the weeds that I tried it on. Very happy.

Love this weed torch! Immediately upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was packed and how nice the build quality was. I attached a 1lb propane tank and started torching weeds immediately. I have a larger torch that attaches directly to a 20lb tank, and while that one is more powerful I rarely get it out anymore since this torch is so portable and easy to use. The heat output is plenty good enough to kill weeds all around the house and the ease at which I can walk around is unmatched. Remember to only let out a little bit of gas when clicking the ignitor because too much will blow out the flame. Once you get it started feel free to crank it up. But rest assured that a massive flame isn't needed to kill the weeds. A nice medium flow of heat will eradicate everything just fine. Both my neighbors now want one after they saw me walking around and torching weeds. It works excellent for sidewalks and driveways but please be careful around flowers and plants because the heat radius can inadvertently do harm. Once you've used it a few times you'll get used to it. Amazing value and makes killing weeds actually fun!

This device will allow you to slowly walk around your yard and kill weeds at this pace. Everything is “professional grade”and the installation amounts to screwing the two pieces of the wand together and attaching a canister of propane. You then open the valve a little and press the igniter before increasing the flow of propane. With this device you don’t need to burn the weeds up; just heating them until they go limp will kill them. It sounds so easy, and it is, but as I walked from one area to another I noticed how close this “blowtorch” was coming to my leg. Just a little miscalculation and you can burn yourself. I encourage everyone that operates this device to carefully read ALL the instructions (maybe twice) before they start working with it. It works just great…but, as they say, “You are playing with fire”.I quickly took care of every weed around and “parked” the device to let it cool down. It was then that I noticed that I had used a lot more propane than I expected, so,I wouldn’t call this an economical device, but it sure was fun. It’s a 5 star device.

This is great it has a self ignitor which is a big plus and the flame is adjustable. Easy to use and has a comfy handle. You could use this for a number of different things like starting you wood fire, charcoal fire, fire pit, wood fire pizza oven or you could torch those weeds!

I essentially only use this for starting field fires. Drip torches are fine but I use this one the most. I have like 20 old 1lb propane bottles and use those with this. It beats dragging a 20lb tank with a hose around.I can just screw in a 1lb and walk along my burn line. Very handy. Two pieces screw together and that's about all there is to it. Well made and does an awesome job starting fires.

Mostly got this to start fires, burn away brush, and occasionally delete weeds in the driveway, and I love it.Pros: With the small tank, it's super portable and much more versatile than the larger ones. It's super easy to set up, it breaks down into two pieces in the middle, and the tank screws right on. Obvious benefits are that you can take it anywhere without lugging a full size propane tank, so it's way better for bonfires, campfires, and other fire related activities. It's super heavy duty, doesn't feel flimsy at all and has a high density handle - nothing feels cheap with it. As long as you don't turn the gas all the way up, it always starts on the first spark. It's plenty hot enough for almost anything you need, though not quite as hot as the larger versions.Cons: While I can't directly compare, its smaller form factor reduces its heat and lowers its capacity - so it's a trade off to get portability that I personally think is worth it. Otherwise, not much to complain about.Overall - great portable solution for all your incineration needs.
