Good quality item. My problem is that I do occasionally some welding around the house - things like bulk-head door repair, bike repair, bike trailer repair... things like that. I buy rods for the purpose at hand, use 2 or 3 and then have several left for use much later. By then they have absorbed moisture and I have to dehydrate them. No, I do not have a rod drying oven, I rig a regular oven and it's a bit of work that needs tending. I hope these storage containers keep the air-humidity from the rods that I do not have to do the re-drying anymore. They feels solidly built and I have faith in them. I like that the cap is captured and that the manufacturer used the wall space for a metric and SAE length measuring and diameter scale. The one thing I have not too much faith in is the belt clip - the containers will have some heft when containing rods - not sure how the molded in plastic clip will hold up. Maybe I am wrong. But I will avoid using it though they fit into a sheet metal strip into my welding cart so they will keep the containers from shifting away when slid into the wall-strip. while the bottom of the container rests on the bottom shelf.What could be better: It would be really great if there were 100mm extensions either available or part of this set. These are obviously for 350mm rods. I have some and sometimes buy or be gifted 450mm rods. An extension piece would be nice to have these containers fit for 450mm rods!Storage capacity will be plenty for my use.

Made of heavy ABS plastic, these inspire confidence that they will last. Even filled with full length rods the tube felt solid, no bending or giving way at all. There is a thick O-Ring to seal out moisture/humidity laden air so your rods are dry and perform their best.The end caps screw on/off easy thanks to large beefy threads. A chain on each cap keeps them from falling and getting lost. But I see another review by "Pickles" that the mount for the chain hookup likely caused hsi leds to break when the top pf the lid had some extreme weight placed on them, likely in shipping. Be careful not to drop a full tube lid first. If your worried about this and can do without the chain, trim the mount for the chain off the lid with a box cutter or cutting pliers. As I only use these at home, I'm not worried abut this myself.Each of the four tubes has a 'X' divider that breaks the tube into 4 compartments. I used this to store different rods on two of the tubes. The other tubes I packed with the same rods. As I use them, the dividers will keep the rods from moving around excessively. The divider just sits in the tube, easy to remove if you need every bit of space for rods. The divider is thick and seems strong enough to last.Each tube has a strap should you wish to secure them in place.

Love them need more of them. I work construction and have to fix the equipment from time to time and there is nothing worse the having to weld something real fast only to find all your rods in your truck soaked from condensation snow and or rain. Now my rods stay nice and dry. A permanent marker and i know what rods I'm getting when i grab a tube, and it makes it so the new guy don't bring me the wrong ones for the job when i send him to the truck. At 10 bucks a tub its a great value you cant go wrong considering how much money rods run now. Storage capacity of the rods will depend on the size of the rod.

Not a deal breaker by any means but you may need to clip 1/8 inch off any rod that is exactly 14 inchs long. The lid will scrape against the tips of the rod prior to you applying full seal pressure to the rubber O-ring. Another work around may be to add a 2nd O-ring. My welding rod supply mostly tops out at 13-7/8 so only 5 sticks of one size needed adjustment.These are strong and light weight. I would consider dropping in a Silica Gel Desiccant packet into these containers if you have room just for keeping moisture at bay. .Each segment of the dividers will hold 2lbs of 3/32 6013 for your info. The dividers are easily removed for bulk storage. The scale on the side is about as accurate as any off the shelf ruler and the the little dot-spots for rod diameter won't accept anything larger than the indicated size.The chain can be annoying but will help to keep from searching for the caps and the end of the day. The black straps are being removed as I typppppppppppppppeeee. These 4 containers get 5 stars from me.

These are nice holders. The fact that it is a 4 pack is great value. The plastic is nice and sturdy and thick. The removable dividers are nice and fit well in the tube. It is nice to be able to sort everything and keep it organized. The lids screw on and off easily. The chain for the top / lid is a little flimsy and gets in the way sometimes when you are trying to put the lid on, but not a huge deal. They have straps but I do not use them for my needs. They seem to be airtight and work for my needs very well. I would definitely recommend
