I played this type of game as a kid many years ago. It was verbally passed down. These cards contain humorous scenarios - NOT realistic mysteries. It is fun to attempt to deduce the out-of-the-box answers to these brief scenarios. I appreciate having these scenarios on cards and I may add my own - if I can remember additional ones. This seems like a good game to take on our trip to the cabin this summer - low-tech and easy laughs.

This is a game that is perfect for road trips or just sitting around with family at a gathering. The cards are very well made, with a glossy finish that looks and feels good to use. The cards have miniature mysteries to solve that read more like riddles. The reader can see the answer, and has three clues that they can give to the guessers. The guessers are allowed the chance to ask yes or no questions, which they use to try to zero in on the solution to the riddle or mystery they're trying to solve. Depending on the difficulty of the mystery, you will get 1, 2, or 3 points. Some of the cases were really easy, and the guessers knew the answer without having to ask any questions. Some, though, were really obscure and took multiple logical leaps to solve. That's where the game gets fun. Trying to come up with a yes/no question that will narrow down your answer was really rewarding and satisfying when you finally come to a conclusion. Sadly, there's only 30 cases in the deck, and once you know the answers, obviously you can't replay them, so this is more of a one-off type game. Still worth it for some finite fun that is mentally stimulating.

I didn't want to spoil any of the mysteries before I go on my trip to Japan - but in reading one of the cards, it doesn't seem like the "mysteries" are well thought out. The answer for one of them was not as easily guessed as they would have thought, because there is so much information missing from the prompt. I will come back and review when I have gone through more cards to see if this is worth the pick up, or if you could just ask AI to write you some mystery teasers for a road/ plane trip.

The cards are really fun when on a little road trip and keep your mind working. When we opened the deck the instruction card was a couple of cards in so we were confused at first, but then we found it. Each card has a little story on it that you have to figure out. One of them we figured out pretty quickly but one had us guessing for a very embarrassingly long time and we needed hints to finally get it. I like that because it is a nice challenge. So there's some stories that you'll probably figure out in a minute or two while others are nice stumpers. They do provide three clues if everyone is stumped, which you give one at a time. This game is so far really fun to play in the car, easy to grab and go or pop into the glovebox.

Ok... these mysteries are REALLY "out there"For each 'mystery' you are supposed to suspend belief and reality. The answers are some of the most unbelievable resolutions that you could ever think of.Don't bother with these cards.

If you're buying this in order to laugh, then it should absolutely be on your list to purchase. The cards are very well made and easy to read. However, if you're wanting a game that can be seriously played and figured out, I'd guess that 80% of these are not at all solvable with the information provided. It reminds me of the Big Bang Theory episode where Sheldon and Amy make up a game. The information given on the front, even with the included clues, cannot lead to some of the answers. And some of them are factually incorrect as well (one about a hospital). I'd personally save my money unless you just want to laugh at the absurdity.

This is a good compilation of a number of riddles and mysteries; some familiar. There are quite a few interesting mysteries in this pack. Depending on your knowledge base and life experience, some are definitely easier than others. Some of the more challenging ones will leave you scratching your head wondering how you were supposed to arrive at the right answer. If you're familiar with the questions in Mindtrap you'll get a similar experience. This is a great game if you would be otherwise doing nothing to kill time as you can really spend your time ruminating on the ideas presented to you. We donn't usually play this in the car on rides, we usually bring it with us while we detrash the our nearby streets; but this would be great anytime where you would normally be waiting like waiting on food to be served, family gatherings, etc. Good fun for a good price point!

These are really fun, and the cards are very very well made. They're almost like thin plastic - water resistant with cute artwork. We didn't use them on a road trip; my partner and I decided to just have fun with them over dinner. We got through them all, but didn't solve all of them. In some cases, I think it was a failure of the way the mystery was framed (the solution seemed to be too loose with WAY too many possible viable alternatives), in other cases, you needed the hints to create the framework and it was easy to solve. In many other cases, you didn't need the hints at all and (whether we got it right or not), it seemed like a well-encapsulated riddle. It would be great for middle-schoolers and high-schoolers, and is still fun for adults! It encourages lateral thinking -- even in the puzzles where we felt like the mysteries were not as well presented as they should have been, we liked our alternative solutions! For $10, it makes a fun dinner party or way to keep people talking for a couple hours!
