Virtually all of the negative statements in these reviews are that the magnets are weak, and I agree, they are a little bit weak. However, this is the only magnetic square that I have seen. The other strong points of this square are not being mentioned. First, it has a strength that other squares just dont have because this one is thicker. That makes it less likely to bend and gives it a more solid feel in your hand. The markings and scribe features of the square are of the quality of all the WEN tools. I continue to be impressed by the great quality of this tool company. WEN tools are offering a great alternative to U.S. craftsmen and tradesmen who are looking for quality tools at affordable prices. I highly recommend this square and other tools from this fine company.

The square is nice quality but the magnets are so weak it can't even hold its own weight when sideways. So for me it completely defeats the purpose of the square since I got it for metal work.
