Bought this for my truck to replace my current hitch step and its just loose. Once installed it leans to the left and slops down. Ive already thrown away the box because i though being Westin it would be great. It includes a 2nd part that is supposed to stabilize it so its not loose however on my truck there is no room to install it. I would have to put this on in the farthest setting and have it sticking out a good foot plus behind my bumper(which im not doing my truck is long enough) and even then im not 100% it would fit. Which would also block my backup camera. Wanted to like it and generally i love Westin, but this was a very disappointing waste of money. Needs different shims or a thicker base. It shouldn’t be that loose even with the brace.

The finish may not last as there are some areas of rust showing through after one month.

Easy to install. Zero raddle. Tough and sturdy. Looks awesome. Went to Home Depot and two strangers walking by my truck complemented the step and asked where to get one.
