Dee Zee Bumper Step –  Add the Dee Zee Bumper Step and get a secure step up to access the cargo stowed in your truck bed. Installed on the driver's side of the vehicle, the frame mounted step provides a lower stepping surface. It is accessible with the tailgate down or without dropping the tailgate to reach items in the truck bd.  The step is made from cast aluminum to reduce weight and features a protective black powder coat to blend into your truck frame. Slip-resistant raised nodules on the step area ensure a secure footing. The rugged steel mounting bracket uses factory holes for a quick, no-drill install and offered for full size trucks.

Good step to get into bed of truck. Been nice to be a little larger but works well. Very well made.

10 minute install. Provides needed step in the right place. Beefier than expected. Looks good.

By yourself without an impact gun it's almost impossible. My Ranger has the factory installed tow package and your not getting the bolts off with a regular socket set. I could not break them loose no matter how hard I tried.First the socket will not stay on without someone holding it. I tried but it always falls off because of the weight of the socket wrench. I tried a breaker bar and regular socket driver both in half inch, impossible, can't get leverage using one arm on the wrench and the other griping underneath with the other arm.I brought mine to the local Gas Station, they did it in minutes with the truck on a lift and using an impact wrench. I'm not complaining about the product, all i'm saying is if your planning to do it alone then get an impact wrench. I have tons of tools just never bought an impact driver because I never needed one before. Every bolt under any of my vehicles were able to be removed with my breaker bar.Unfortunately with the tow package the only way I see removing the two bolts is with the impact driver. This review was simply to advise a person planning to do this himself what he may run into.I would guess if my truck had no tow package I probably would have been able to break the bolts loose.Hope this helps someone.Overall I feel this is a good product but I feel they should let people know if your doing it yourself with the tow package installed then to get an impact wrench.

Looked well made and sturdy however didn’t fit on 19’ Ranger with U-Haul hitch so I was not able to install. If it was not for the hitch it would have fit no problem.

It was extremely easy to install had it done in under 5 minutes nice and sturdy and it feels very solid to stand on. Being almost 300 lb most things Flex this is Solid. Only thing I would recommend is to make sure you put a little bit of Loctite back on the bolts when you put them back in.

I needed something like this to access the bed of my pickup without having to spend a lot of money or have something difficult to install. This fit both of those considerations; it was reasonably priced and installation was a 5 minute process that was quite easy, something extremely necessary for an 81 year old. Used existing bolts that were easily accessed and the fit was perfect. The only problem with it is there really needs to be some sort of handle to ease getting in and out of the bed, but that is not a problem with the step itself. Potential buyers should note that, since the step itself is small ( a definite benefit so that it does not cause problems with interference) it is a little difficult to find if and when you back out of the bed. That problem may go away after some use and getting acquainted with it's position.
