I was really worried that this generator wouldn’t be big enough from what i have read online but it does the job without any issues. We live in the country and also in tornado ally. Last winter we were without power for 4 days because of a huge storm that snapped off alot of power poles so i decided it was time to get a bigger generator to run the whole house. Our house is 2400sq ft. On gasoline, this generator will run everything in my house with no problems. I had all the lights on, air conditioner running, ran a faucet so my well would kick on, ran hot water so my electric hot water heater would kick on, turned two tvs on, 2 refrigerators, 2 deep freezers, and even went and kicked on the microwave and the lights didn’t even dim. I have radiant floor heat that runs off a gas water heater so the winter time it should have to run even less so i’m not worried for when that time comes. I will probably never run it on anything but gasoline but it is nice to know that it has a propane and natural gas input. The push button start is awesome and it starts super easy. It was definitely a great buy and i believe for the price it is it was a steal. Will recommend it to all my neighbors to run their yards.

The cost of this generator is a great value for the money. For anyone considering emergency backup power, the flexibility of three fuel sources makes this generator worth every penny. After researching backup power solutions for months, I finally bought Westinghouse 14500 Peak Watt Tri-Fuel Generator, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! The generator already comes with a spark plug and a quart of engine oil for initial use. Easy assembly with good instructions. The start time for this generator is quick and the noise level is quite acceptable. The remote electric start is a good feature, but you have to do a manual transfer on the breaker box to get it working. Nevertheless, strongly recommended for homeowners who want comprehensive backup power without the expense of a permanent standby system!

We're in North Texas where we get really weird weather at times. You might have heard, we had a big ice storm a couple years ago when the grid failed for several days and a lot of people didn't make it. We had the another Westinghouse generator at the time. I cannot say enough good things about this generator. I got this to replace a dual fuel Westinghouse that worked equally amazing. We have had to run on generator power for days at a time. I just wanted to be able to connect it to our home gas outlet on the patio. We are in an area that looses power for a while at least once a year. Our home is about 3000 sf with 2 HVAC units, a pool, 2 deep freezers, a side by side, 3 mini fridges, an electric range, several computers (we work from home) and lots of exterior lighting. I mention all of this to give you an idea of the load we put on this generator. I have a 1/2" gas line hose that is 20' feet in length connected to a Y quick connect connection from our patio. The other line goes to our gas grill. I show all of this in the pictures. I wish somebody would have posted this kind of information when I was trying to figure it all out. Bottom line is, this Westinghouse generator keeps us up and running and doesn't miss a beat. I plug it up, start it up and let it run for a couple minutes to get warmed up, hit the interlock on the breaker panel and flip the breaker up on the generator and we are online. My wife was doing laundry, we had the tv on, all of the lights on, AC running and I was frying chicken while the rest of the neighborhood was dark. This thing is a workhorse. It is heavy but it's on wheels an has a handle that folds down. I have a outdoor running cover for it so it can run in the rain or snow. You don't get as much power as you do with propane, which doesn't produce as much power as gasoline. I find for our needs, natural gas with this beast is enough and we don't have to mess with smelly gasoline or refill propane tanks. Also, it runs much much cleaner than with gasoline. I really don't smell any exhaust. Yes it keep it away from windows and doors and we do have Co2 detectors in our home for safety year round. The unit also has automatic Co2 shutoff. When not in use, I keep it in a little small shed that I will eventually convert to a generator shed. I keep it plugged in with the supplied power adapter to keep the battery fully charged. You can add an automatic transfer switch as it has support and connections for one. Several of our neighbors are now looking to purchase one because being without electricity really is hard. Now, go and order one for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Big performance and reasonable price. This unit can power our whole house with the addition of a power transfer switch, or individual appliances like the air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, lights, internet router, and television, using individual extension cords. It has a small footprint at 24"x30", so it does not take up much space. Easy to setup when following the instruction from the supplied paper manual. Can be started using the battery powered push to start button, the paired remote start switch, or the pull cord. Unit is quiet in operation and includes built-in Carbon monoxide detector which shuts unit down for safety if excessive level of CO is detected. A battery charger is included, and the unit charges the battery while it is in operation. Sturdy wheels are included and a fold out handle allows for unit to be moved to desired location from a resting/storage spot to a well-ventilated spot for operation. This is a tri-fueled generator which can use unleaded gasoline, liquid propane (from any size container), or natural gas (LP and N.G. gas lines with quick connects and regulators are included. Resettable mini-circuit breakers on the unit prevent an over-current draw while powering different power connections. Repairs, if needed are handled by national network of service providers or the manufacturers' location in the USA. Parts can be purchased directly for spares or repairs by the consumer and a printed form parts manual and exploded view diagram is also included for ease of identification. Peace of mind, ease of use, compact form, mobility, and functionality are the reasons we chose this unit over many others. We highly recommend this generator over many others available for purchase.
