I have been pleasantly surprised by this machine. I didn't want to purchase a big, bulky, gas powered machine due to limited storage space. I was initially concerned about how well this tiller would work because it is light weight but this machine is very capable of getting the job done. I found that there is a lot of bouncing around until the blades dig into the dirt. This was a concern particularly when working around the wire fence in my garden as the blades bounced into the fence a couple of times. The motor is powerful and the steel blades didn't bend when I unearthed a few small rocks. A little sturdier tire held on with more than a cotter pin would definitely be a plus. All in all I found this to be a great rototiller for my garden and worth the price I paid.

Why rent when you can buy this for just a little more. This thing is a BEAST. Cant argue with 15 amps of pure power. Electric torque is hard to beat. Did my whole 50ft by 20 ft garden in 30 min. and this soil is dry and HARD. AND WAS FULL OF ROOTS. I really didnt want a gas one because of the maintnence. glad i went with this. If you're looking for a tiller this size trust me, this is the one. Obviously you need a generator or power source to power it. Who wants more batteries or clogged carburetors. I love this thing lol.

I've only had this product for about 5 hours, and have to say it did the job. Couldn't believe the difference my lawn and flower beds are after a "fluffing" from this powerful electric tiller. Very pleased with this purchase.

Having the tines in contact with the ground at start up is dangerous and unsafe. I would make it akin to putting a circular saw blade on the wood and starting the blade. I fabricated a “ kickstand “ so I can ease the blades into the ground. The machine is well built.As is I would give it a 2.5. With the kickstand addition I would rate it 4.5.

I put this together and gave it a try in my herb garden area. It works great and it's heavy duty but not too heavy for smaller jobs. As an older woman who does all my own yard work, this is going to be very helpful for a few projects I'm doing this summer. Good price and well made.
