8 of the tines fit perfect , the other 8 had to have back side ground off a little to fit my troy bilt pony tiller. they seem like good quality made tines. time will tell. rick.

Supposed to be American made but made in China and boy does it show! They don't fit, to fit them you have to grind the inside down and that takes about 30min to an hour. Comes with extra bolts thou.

I bought these for my Troy-Bilt Horse because all the reviews were good, no modifications needed. Well that's a lie!!! These tines are thicker and wider than the original ones. I had to bolt the old ones to the new ones as a guide to grind the new ones to fit. I guess people who gave good reviews must have wore-out hubs where these things mount. Plus most of the holes had to be drilled out for the bolts to go through. I will say this, they give you a butt-load of bolts, nuts and washers, way too many actually. I can only hope they last half as long as the old ones, then it will be my son or grandsons problem. Would not recommend these unless you have a good grinding wheel!!!!!

I bought these because they don't make tines for my craftsman pull behind tiller anymore. I had to modify them to work, which i knew ahead of time. My garden is about 50x100ft and i had to go over it multiple times due to adding fertilizer this year, but I've never seen tines wear down this fast. They are worn more than half width in just one spring tilling. I mounted them to the original tines and the originals are worn to begin with but unchanged from before. I had to drill new mounting holes and the hardness of the metal was very inconsistent, with soft and extremely hard spots. Will most likely not use again

Replacement for my old tines on my TB Horse. They are really awesome. My ground is very rocky and hard packed. These tines chopped it up like soft compost.

I have a Troybilt Horse purchased in the late 1970's. Since it refuses to die I decided to replace the tines as the previous set were worn past of point of actually turning all the soil. These tines fit perfectly and the only trouble I had with the installation was getting one bolt out of each set of the old tines. They had not been touched in over a decade and really did not want to leave the comfort of their status quo!I do recommend that you take one set off at a time and lay it next to the tiller in the exact orientation that they were in on the tiller. Only one bolt needs to be totally removed from each set of tines (the others loosened) to remove the entire set. Penetrating oil is also helpful. Two 9/16 wrenches are needed, one that ratchets is helpful. Once they are all off, reverse the process. Put together the new tines using the template of the others you carefully laid on the ground, connecting all but one bolt. Start to finish, allow an hour. If you have done this recently or are A gifted mechanic, 30 minutes or less is doable. Also note that if you are buying these for a Troybilt you will end up with 16 extra bolts, nuts, and lock washers. Other models must require additional bolts. There are two holes in one end of each tine that are not used on the Troybilt. The photos show the newly completed install and the second was taken after tilling about 750 feet in dry heavy soil.

Arrived well packaged and with all parts. Takes a little thinking on how to install but not too much. These were installed on a all original 1975 Troy Bilt Horse that belonged to my wife's grandfather. It had been sitting around for 15 years and brought back to life this past spring. The old tines were worn and well passed their prime, barely being able to turn the soil. Now that I have the new tines I'm expanding my garden by almost 400 square feet, currently around 1200 square feet in size. I tilled for several hours so far with no issues. My soil is hard packed clay with a lot of rocks. I want to really pulverize the clay and break it down as much as possible before it freezes. So I'll be putting a lot more hours on these before then. I'll post any issues that may arise. The price was great compared to OEM and some other aftermarket makers.
