Make sure you know what type of pole you need. This is threaded, and it must fit snug so the fan doesn't shake.The fan is not threaded, and the pole that is with it just fits on, and a screw is put in...so a threaded pole doesn't work. No returns either!

It a pipe that's drilled and threaded. It fits. But it's very slightly off-white so was subtly but noticeably different in shade and sheen from the fan that came from another manufacturer.

Some review requests are so silly. I liked this because it was the color I ordered, white, because it was the length I ordered, 18”, and because it was threaded properly to connect correctly. I used it to connect a fan to the ceiling.

My electrician was impressed with the construction of this rod. It painted Matte Black very easily after some light sandind. Went perfect with our new 52 inch ceiling fan

unbelievable that i had to order this for my fan from home depot. hd doesn't carry them! in any event, it was perfect, correct color, and received very quickly. amazon.com is great for finding items such as this, to books, to specialty food items.
