1. First, you will need to turn off the power to the GE washing machineand disconnect it from its electrical outlet. Make sure it is unplugged before attempting any repairs. 2. Remove all of the outer panels, fasteners, gaskets and other parts from around the appliance. This includes any back, side and top panels that are visible. 3. Carefully remove the old WH08X10036 GASKET from the appliance, being careful not to damage the surrounding components. 4. Install the new GASKET in place of the old one, making sure that all of the connections are secure and correctly aligned. 7. Reattach all of the previously removed components and panels, taking extra care if there are electrical connections involved. 8. Turn the power back on and plug the appliance back into its electrical outlet. 9. Test the appliance to make sure the replacement GASKET did not cause any problems. If everything appears to be working properly, you have successfully replaced the WH08X10036 GASKET.

This gasket fits my front load GE washer. This is the 2nd time I’ve replaced this gasket. It never leaked. It just gets stained over time. Replacement is a big job. You basically take the washer apart. I learned from a YouTube video for my model.
