Good quality item for baby to learn and explore shapes, colors, work on fine motor skills. Each side presents a different activity, and I like how it is mostly made of wood. As with most baby toys, the baby will need help putting things in and taking things out. But it's generally well-made and should last awhile.

It’s OK I mean it has plenty of shapes and plenty of different sides for play. The balls hey you need to are really hard to get into the box even with the little mallet that comes with it there’s like a a rubber or silicone ring in the holes for the balls and you have to push hard to get them in.

For my autistic grandson, this was a game changer providing not only additional stimulus, but an outlet for a little bit of anxiety where he could pound on things safely. This is so cute! I've worked in Montessori before and this definitely fits right in. It's fun for the kids seems to hold up to their torture and was a price I could agree with. Overall a great toy with the potential for motor control skills being exercised like hand eye coordination. We'll see how long the batteries lose their luster

Got this for my nephew to play with. And it kept him occupied for a long time. When they start to get bored, turn the box to a different side! Well made. It does have sharp corners for new sitters and I wouldn’t let a child run with the hammer but other than that no small pieces to worry about

I got this as an Easter gift for my grandson, age 18 months. He really likes a plastic game I have where you hammer balls into holes and the balls roll down a track. This wooden toy is a much nicer quality than the plastic one that he currently plays with. The colors on the wood are bright, and I did not notice any flaking or peeling as other reviews noted. The colored shape blocks are also a very good quality. The holes for the shaped blocks are lined with the corresponding color of the block, which is a nice touch. The mallet is natural wood, the same as the box itself. It’s very small (but not so small as to be a choking hazard) and it takes some force to hammer the balls through the holes. Hopefully with time, that will get easier.I liked the elastic straps and the felt flaps on the sides - they keep the contents inside the box until a little hand reaches in for them. Everything about this toy seemed safe. I think it will be a very educational toy, teaching shapes and colors. It’s very well-made, but do note that it’s very small, only a 6” cube. The quality makes it worth the $30 price, just be aware you will get a very small toy.

Loud!Whacking the balls until they get through the holes is definitely a noise maker but ought to be exciting for the toddlers. It takes some real force, at least at first — an adult might use 6 hard whacks to get it through. It'll probably loosen up a little over time, but maybe not too much since the materials all seem to be pretty solid. The paint is not showing any signs of abuse yet despite the hammer blows. We'll soon see how the munchkins handle the challenge.Good quality wooden construction. Shapes fit nicely, and there are no evident defects such as sharp edges or splinters in any of the woodwork, nor flaking or smudging in the paint.
