This kit worked out well overall, but I did have to expand (drill) the mounting hole on the receptacle to properly fit the mounting screw for a Whirlpool model RF362BXG. (Since the mounting hole on the stove itself is large, it requires the larger screw.) Other than having to widen the mounting hole, installation went smoothly. The part does perform as expected, remedying the low / intermittent heating caused due to corroded receptacle connectors.

I bought one of these to fix a burner that had disintegrated due to years of use. I found a video on youtube that shows how to install this replacement. very easy to install and worked like a charm so much so that I bought another one for one of my other burners. it was a cheaper alternative to buying a new stove!

I don't know what the issue is but I keep burning through the plastic housing of this receptacle. It seems like the plastic can't resist the high temperature required near the burner. I've bought two and burnt through them quickly. I'm done.

The product itself was fine...but there were absolutely NO instructions included with the items. So, it was difficult to know exactly how to proceed. Also, there were no screws in the package either. Luckily, I decided to keep the screws that were already on the stove. But c'mon, NO INSTRUCTIONS? Ridiculous.

I have replaced these before. This is one that was the factory replacement part. I did not have to install the connection wires into the receptacle as in the past. However, the burner contacts make a very poor inconsistent connection when inserted into the receptacle. Often the burner stops heating while trying to cook. I am going to have to replace this with another unit before I go nuts trying to cook!
