Installed pretty easy, but definitely don't if you aren't sure you can handle it. Great to have heat in my dishwasher again.

Dishes weren’t washing correctly & I noticed our dishwasher’s heating element was snapped in two! Only being a year and a half old dishwasher, I was pretty bummed thinking I had to replace it.Fortunately, after a quick web search & a few YouTube videos, I was feeling like an appliance repair man.I ordered the part & it was at my door 2-Days later. Install took under 10-minutes & we are now back up & runnin’!Definitely a repair that anyone can do with minimal tolls and a little time.

My dishwasher is cleaning my dishes properly again! What more can I ask for? It wasn't too hard to install but does require pulling the dishwasher out and getting to the underside of it.

The dishes in my Jenn-Air dishwasher were starting to remain very wet after washing, and upon inspecting all the different parts I determined the heating element might be to blame since it looked rusted & corroded. I replaced this at the same time as a bunch other parts to essentially refurbish my entire dishwasher to new condition (for $250 in parts rather than replacing the entire unit for $1,200!), and this was one of the easiest parts to replace. You simply disconnect the wires on the bottom, unscrew the plastic bolts, remove the heating element, put the new one in, and reinstall the plastic bolts and connect the wires. DONE! If you replace this and it still doesn't dry properly, then you may also need to replace the thermostat which is a $20 part and takes about 30 seconds to replace.
