These White Water slam latches are made of marine grade stainless steel 316 and finished with a smooth mirror polish to add a very upscale look to your boat. The handles of these stainless steel slam latches are comfortable fitting and will make opening any hatch lid extremely easy. We recommend installation on lids with thickness between 1/2" and 1".

There is a very thin finger in the casting that acts as a stop for the latch handle when opened. It is also used for the return spring of the handle. If you pulled on the latch handle too hard I could see this piece easily breaking off.
