My first Whiteside bit. I'll be buying Whiteside moving forward.

I have been using Whiteside router bits for years. I just bought two more. They are very good, sharp and still made in the USA. The price was also reasonable for such a high quality American product.

This bit sliced through 3/4 inch oak like it was pine! The cut was so smooth that it didn’t require sanding. I’m so impressed- I had bought a Diablo bit at HomeDepot and it was horrible- the bearing froze virtually immediately and burned the wood edge. This bit was less expensive and far far superior in both the cut and of course the bearing.

The bit I received has a flat edge for a portion and then a triangle type bump out near the bearing. It worked fine for some of our purposes, but I'm certain the one pictured isn't the one we received.

This is an outstanding tool and I got it quickly and at the time I was advised it would arrive.

I just changed over to the new bit, it cuts nicely. Only criticism will be in a few months, to see how well it holds its edge.. Nice looking and I'm hoping their reported quality is only surpassed after continued use.

I have been using whiteside Whiteside bits for many years. They are always very well made, very sharp, and they stay sharp a lot longer than cheaper bits. Whiteside bits cost a bit more but they are worth it. Also, major woodworking magazines regularly review and test router bits and Whiteside always end up at or near the top.
