Works ok as a wifi extender. Does not work in AP mode (with LAN/ethernet cable) unless it's in range of the main wireless network, so is kind of pointless if you're trying to extend the wifi a longer distance.

In order to make the item work you have to go thru many complicated steps and then the item may still bot work. In my opinion the item is a piece of crap and then returning cost more than the item cost. I say never buy this item.

I don't use wifi often, more as a back-up as I prefer hardwired equipment. But testing this inside the house and it did give a boost. It's very easy to set up for PC use. And it has a nice unobtrusive design. So its functional and well designed. That means a 5 star rating from me.

Before I had problems with my Internet disconnecting and since I've got this I haven't had a problem. It doesn't seem to help the speed that much but I definitely notice a difference and am very glad I have it.

Great product already recovered at least 2 dead zones and items furthest away from router are not disconnecting a few times per day. Great product

This device didn’t work well with my Router, not sure why?? But I’m returning it , I’m sure it’s a good booster , just didn’t work well with my router

With my router on the first floor, I tend to loose connection or have lagging issues on my third floor. This extender was very easy to set up and has been working well to correct that problem.

Having found myself needing to extend an ethernet cable I already had in place, rather than go to the cost and time of replacing the cable I got hold of this extender and used some additional cable that I already had and this little thing did the job perfectly.I'm using it in a home environment running at 1Gbps and this extender worked quick enough for me.As I'm reviewing this the item is currently unavailable so I can't comment on price but given the cost of the existing network cable that ran for nearly 10 metres and what it would have cost me to get a new even longer cable then if this ends up being less than £5 then I'd be happy with that.

The extender feels well made, the ethernet cables connect firmly, but were slightly stiff to disconnect. This is a useful item to have in your network toolbox. It can easily be used to create a longer cable when required from two shorter ones. I find it particularly useful when performing maintenance. I like to keep my cables as short as possible, this is great to temporarily extend the cable if you need to pull the equipment out from its usual location.

Great CAT 7 Network coupler to extend you network cables - Backward compatible to CAT 5 and in my honest and review this is a great little piece of low tech to keep with me not only for home use but for job use as well.This Coupler/Extender is rated at CAT 7 rating, CAT 7 cables and Couplers are fully supported for backwards compatibility even to CAT 6, CAT 5e, and CAT 5 cables that are out there.This coupler is even better made that one I have had for years, smaller and provided even a better/stronger connection on the plugs than I though possible. Great connections that stay connected.I work in IT so quite routinely I need a coupler to extend a network cable for testing/maintenance and I have now used this handy device several times and it works like it's supposed and provides a strong and secure connections between my RJ45 cables to allow myself the distance to do my work and do it in a better/safer position than just using a shorter cable and being uncomfortable.Nice and small to store away in my kit goto bag and a must have when I need it to.
