1. The sensor uses infrared background radiation as the inspection principle. During installation, it is necessary to avoid direct sunlight and other heat sources, as they may interfere with the inspection results.

2. In order to avoid duplicate alarms, we made logical judgments internally. It is incorrect to test immediately by waving your arms after the configuration is completed. The correct testing method should be to completely leave the sensor for at least 40 seconds before reappearing within the sensor's detection range.

Game changer! Easy to install and use. I bought these to help manage my electricity bill by turning off lights in rooms that aren't being used. They work great!

Grabbed this to use as a trigger to automatically turn lights on in a dark hallway via home automation routines. Works great when combined with Alexa / IFTTT to flip the lights on and then start a timer to automatically shut them off again. It is pretty sensitive, but in my case that works out. I can think of a hundred automation tasks that this would work well for, and you can't really beat the price. I don't yet have data on battery life, but it's run for several months without issue!

Throw it under the floor board and now I receive daily reminder that there are rats or mice under there. Great quality and sensitive sensor, seems durable enough.

I bought eight of these to use throughout my house to enable some smart lighting, in areas where I have three-way light switches which couldn't easily be replaced with sensor switches. Easy enough because I've done this before in another house. But for whatever reason none of these sensors will stay connected. It offers a network connectivity test as well as a way to upload a log via email or copied to clipboard, but no information for where to send it to. So I have all this diagnostic information and I would like to get some help but I have no Outlet to actually reach to for help. When I go to get troubleshooting assistance through the Amazon support, it gives me a few links to click and no ability to email or talk to anyone. The company name is fake and has no website as are all of these random Chinese devices that keep popping up, so I have no idea what to do or who to even contact. So I guess I'll be returning all of these.

This review is for those of you that must run your devices with a hotspot. The specific scenario is that I have a cell phone and other electronics in my home. I am using the cell phone as a hotspot to run the other electronics. This is because I am not welcome to use the Wi-Fi for the household. I do not know if using my phone as a hotspot is the reason why but wanted to explain that specific set up before saying that: this product does not work. I am not able to set up the device. The way it is supposed to work is that you download the app (check) turn on the device (check) and pair the two by setting the device to the appropriate Wi-Fi with network name and password (fail). As previously stated, I have a network name and password to provide but they are associated with a cell phone hotspot rather than with a Wi-Fi hub or router. The device is supposed to have a blinking white light indicating that it is ready to go. The blinking white light is there until I put in the network information and get the screen saying that it is making the connection. At that point, the light goes away and I get an error message that the connection cannot be made. So, either (1) this device does not work at all, for anyone or (2) this device does not work for individuals who intended to operate it using a cell phone hotspot rather than a traditional Wi-Fi router (me). Not sure how many of you also fall into this category with me but, hope this review helps!

I really do like it BUT!! It will sometimes send an alert to my phone for no reason. Not good. Especially at 3am and 4:15am.

This is my second one of these. I have the exact same sensor as this from a different "we chose letters at random and are selling tuya compatible devices" brand and my sentiments about this one are the same as that one. This device is small, it works, and it takes standard batteries, nothing weird, nothing overly expensive.I do have a bit of a gripe, having used them a bit now, but not enough of a gripe to change my star rating because i'd need to go back and update the other review to be fair (they are, after all, the exact same thing.) My gripe is that this is both too sensitive while also not being responsive enough. I tried doing motion activated lights in the bathroom with Home Assistant and the Tuya integration, but this thing is too slow for that, it needs to register you (indicated by it blinking) like twice before it finally reports that it's detecting motion. I do not believe this to be a Home Assistant thing, all of my other Tuya devices are near-instant to change or report their statuses to HASS, nor is there any way in the Tuya app or HASS to change how quickly it thinks it's detecting motion. I got tired of using the bathroom in the near-dark for 20 seconds before it finally went "oh, better trigger the switch." From what i've read, my delay issue is just the nature of these wifi, battery-powered, inexpensive PIR sensors. The advice I saw was to get a zigbee one if you wanted faster response times.Yet somehow our kitten (more like a cat teenager at this point) is able to trigger this thing. So uh, don't use it for home security if you have pets. You know what this sensor IS good at, though? Turning off lights connected to smart switches after your family inevitably leaves the bathroom or laundry room with the lights on. This may be the most "dad" thing in the world to automate (other than the thermostat but everyone's doing that now) but I am proud of it, darn it! Instead of letting these turn on the lights, I just have Home Assistant start an automation when motion is detected: it waits for motion to not be detected any more, then waits 10-15 minutes in case someone comes back, then it turns the light(s) off.
