I got this for some additional peace of mind for my aging mother as I liked the advertised SOS to text option. The Tuya smart app it prompts you to download is just a smart home management app, which is fine, but it means you have a lot of options for managing outlets etc that have nothing to do with the alert system (proving needlessly complicated for seniors). I could overlook that and the many misspellings in the instructions and on the receivers (“opon” for “open,” etc), but I can’t get the hub to pair to the WiFi, rendering the whole thing useless. It says it wont pair with 5G, so I tried it on multiple other networks, but it won’t find any of them, despite it being right next to the routers and my phone being on the same network. Would avoid.
