These are outstanding. Very easy to setup using the free app on your phone. Tested all pods and they are loud and send immediate alerts to your phone. Gives me piece of mind since purchasing following the flooding of my basement from a failed sump pump. Now I will be alerted right away. Also using under the sink and water heater. Truly a great product.

A few years ago I had a significant water leak from my furnace humidifier and didn't know about it for a few days. When I discovered that water leak detectors like this exist, I ordered a set from a different brand. So when I had the opportunity to get another set of water leak detectors, I ordered these.Although my phone is about overloaded with apps, I did download this one and, though the setup has been buggy, it does work. But since I am home the majority of the time, I'm going to use just the sensor alerts, and not the app. The alarms are loud enough to hear, even if it went off while I was sleeping.I tested these with water (both for water, from both directions) and they definitely work, immediately and loudly. I can't really speak to long-term use with the gateway and app, but even as standalone, the sensors are great. And after having my own water leak disaster, I now recommend to everyone I know that they get water leak detectors.

My best friend had an issue with water leaking when he was on vacation causing thousands of dollars of damage. These detectors give me peace of mind when out of the home. No brainer. Very easy to set up as well. Added plus is my home insurance might give me a disount. I am still inquiring about that.

These detectors have been a frustrating, time-killing experienceFirst, I first ordered them without a gateway and I found after the fact they don't work with the phone app unless you have the gateway. This order didn't come with documentation either so I wasn't able to do other simple things like change the volume, etc.Next, I reordered 3 more with a gateway because I assumed this would fill in the gaps and I would be able to do everything advertised in the marketing info. This has been better but I have still run into many, many time-consuming roadblocks.Here's a few. There is one-way communication from the water sensor to the gateway and NOT from gateway to the sensors. This is a huge hole in functionality in my opinion. If a detector goes off, I can't snooze it or quiet it down remotely. Also, they tout arm/disarm schedules but again those run on the gateway so if the schedule is set to disarm, the alarm will still go off on devices themselves (with the volume level you chose) and nothing changes. What's the point? And I can't proactively change the sensor to quiet mode (no noise) because apparently this mode ignores detection events altogether (and no messages are sent to the app!). Again, what's the point?? Lastly, these alarms are kind of buggy. I'm still trying to figure out why I am not notified sometimes. I KIND OF want to know there is a problem every time. That's the point of buying these. My issues are probably tied to the unnecessary complexity of the design of these.Status updates are poor in the app as well. For example, if I have one of my detectors turned off (no battery), the app does not tell me. It just looks like its online and working. Also, when I hit test, I see a history record but this record looks no different than if there was real alert. Time in history is international time (24 hour) which is also annoying.Note I tested this on both SmartLife and Tuya (because I use Smart Life). I couldn't get notifications to work at all on SmartLife. Everything else works the same between the two.This review is focused on negatives. I tend to do that. You can find positives in other reviews. But I will say I am very impressed with the distance these detectors can communicate with the gateway. With two AA batteries, these can talk thru walls and long distance to the other side of my house.In summary, these detectors are a bit of a disappointment. I can still make them work but its like shoving square thru round hole. I should note that I worked closely with support. They are VERY GOOD about getting back to you. Are these worth the money? I would still say yes. They don't charge a lot for what you are getting but I haven't analyzed the competition. There might be better ones out there for the money.

I like that they run on AAA batteries, and they can sense leaks from the top and bottom of the unit. Batteries and everything needed are included. Not sure what the wishbone shaped thing is for. I assume its to mount the wifi box on a wall, but not sure how that works.Ive had the non Wifi version for about a year and they work great, so im interested to see how these work out. Will report back if i have any issues, but so far so good.
