The color is not rattan, it is orange. It does not feel like a basket, it feels plastic. I have used it for the purpose I bought it for but I am still on the lookout for something more attractive.

What a piece of JUNK!This item has taught me to read the description VERY carefully. Literally made of plastic and tape.No worth the money.

The colour of the basket in the picture is not like the actual product. Looks like the colour has been edited to appear more like natural wicker than the real product. The actual basket is quite orange.I don’t mind the fact that it’s made of plastic. I wanted this basket to harvest from our backyard vegetable garden. So I like that this would be easy to wash down.I just wish the picture of the product had been more accurate. The basket I received doesn’t feel like it’s worth $16. Worth $5 at most.

So, this worked for the gift basket I made, but I do agree with others that it's super lightweight. For the price, honestly, I would have been better off going to a local discount home store for something sturdier. It does look nice and arrived in great condition.

I got this basket because it’s a larger capacity basket that fit the opening in my entryway console table, and it worked out excellently. I just read some of the reviews and see people trashing it because it looks cheap. It does not. It looks very much like a basket you’d get at Target or HomeGoods or the like. In fact, I have it next to a wicker basket from one of those stores and it looks great next to it. I didn’t even realize it was plastic until I read some of the reviews and looked at it really closely.I just noticed it does say the item is made of metal in the description, but really I’m not sure how that could possibly be. I feel like the description is a bit off from when I bought it, but who knows. All I know is that it’s a good basket that’s easy to clean and does not look cheap or ugly.

IMPORTANT: You'll need to put adhesive, felt feet on bottom to avoid scratching furniture, but that's the case with most baskets (we learned the hard way but, fortunately, were due for new furniture).They work well under our cocktail tables, where they're virtually hidden from view on the bottom, low-profile shelf. They're large and fairly sturdy; we don't feel like the handles are going to fall off, but we hold them by both handles to be safe. They serve our purpose without being pricey, since we didn't want to spend much on something that'd be fairly hidden.We like these enough that we ended up buying double as well as smaller versions., but if you want something elegant to display, these clearly aren't wicker or rattan.

This is a very nice basket. I'm using it as a catchall next to my bed; my bedside table doesn't have drawers, just shelves with low clearance. I had to remove the handles, the clearance is very low, but they just unwind. I was afraid I would have to cut them off which would leave exposed edges, but they are plastic coated wire, so I was able to completely remove them without a trace. This basket is very versatile and attractive with and without the handles.

I purchased these to use to display some of my smaller crochet items at craft fairs and shops. They have worked very well for that purpose and seem to be quite durable for transporting back and forth to the fairs. They really do look like wicker unless you examine them closely and then you realize they are plastic. I am happy with them and would purchase more if I need them.

I ordered this to use in a Christmas gift basket and it was just what I was hoping for - sturdy and the right size. It looks just like the picture. If you wanted to use this in your apartment it might not be the best quality, but it's perfect for a gift basket.
