I use this for snorkeling close to shore in the murky Puget Sound in WA State, and am happy to report that the light effectively pierces the darkness of the Sound, making it possible to both see and photograph the wonders in our inland saltwater sea. Be sure to follow the instructions to rinse and thoroughly dry after each use to ensure long life - seems like a no-brainer when using anything electronic in saltwater. So far, so good - it seems like it's lasting well!

I got this to practice diving in our pool at night. Out of the box, the light did not feel like quality materials. While the rechargeable battery that came with it was charging and tried using regular batteries. The light immediately went into SOS. No matter what we did, we couldn't stop it or change to a different mode. Once the rechargeable batter was ready, we tried that, thinking maybe that would help. NOPE! It immediately went into SOS mode again. No matter what we tried, we could not change the mode. This light is is not usable for our intended purpose.

Ok so aside from the battery and head band this is all plastic, thought I would start with this. It's not a complete loss though it does have decent throw more so than many others I have used, the brightness is sub par and is a very cool tone taking away from all the colors you come across diving, the head band is decent rubber and is very comfortable once you have pulled half your hair out positioning it (I can't afford to loose any more) it does have dual o rings and has so far been water proof after a couple hours under so yeah, oh I personally love the color and the magnetic switch it's super easy to use with gloves, well as easy as turning a headlamp on under water can be. I could go either way on recommending this, honestly there is a ton of competition and they are mostly made from aluminum, just thought I would end with this.

The item randomly comes on when turned off and randomly turns off when turned on.The water tightness depends on two small gaskets but more importantly than that the plastic the item is made of if fairly thin and soft and sure to deform due to pressure and temperature.I have not tried diving with it and I won't because I would never trust my safety to this device even if it did not randomly turn on and off. This is suitable at best as a novelty item to be used in a swimming pool.

As someone who has owned both high-end and budget-friendly underwater flashlights for scuba diving, this one was a major disappointment. Right out of the box, it felt flimsy and cheaply made—definitely not something I’d trust underwater, especially at night when reliable lighting is a matter of safety. Neither the included lithium-ion battery nor the AAA battery adapter allowed the light to function properly. Once the battery cap was tightened, the flashlight began flashing erratically, and the power switch didn’t work at all. Unfortunately, this device didn’t meet even basic expectations.

As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors—whether it’s camping in the mountains or snorkeling in freshwater lakes—I’m always on the lookout for gear that’s versatile, durable, and actually performs. This underwater headlamp checks all the boxes.First off, it’s very bright. With three modes—high, low, and SOS—it covers all my lighting needs, whether I’m underwater or at a campsite. The beam is strong and focused, and the adjustable angle is a huge plus when I need to direct the light exactly where I’m working. It operates easily even with gloves on, which is a detail many headlamps miss.I’ve used it mostly for snorkeling in freshwater lakes, and it performs beautifully. I make sure to rinse it after each use, and especially thoroughly after saltwater trips to avoid corrosion (watch the switch area in particular). That small bit of maintenance goes a long way.The rechargeable battery (18650 4000Ah) takes about 5 hours to charge and gives me a solid 2 hours of use. It also comes with an adapter for AAA batteries in case you’re off-grid for a while—great backup feature. The included padded case is a nice touch and keeps everything organized. While it’s probably a bit overkill for casual camping or evening hikes, I really appreciate not needing to pack multiple headlamps for different environments. One light, and I’m covered for underwater, land, and emergency use.Highly recommended for anyone who values performance and versatility in their gear.
