Does not change the taste of the wine and I wake up without a headache!

Taking the histamine out of wine has changed my breathing and how I feel pretty much every time I drink wine now. I was attached to the inhaler while drinking and this has completely eliminated that. I carry these in my purse if I go to an event, bar or dinner. And take them on vacation with me as well. Game changer for anyone that has a slight allergy to alcohol or certain types of wine.

EDIT: This seller reached out and contacted me and gave me a refund on the product. I am upping the review stars for that reason. They were very nice, seemed concerned and very quickly offered a refund. I appreciate that and would buy other items from them again, anytime.I thought these would be great because the review say that it does not change the flavor of the wine. The ones I got change it within 1 minute. I can barely even finish the glass it is so yuck. Back to the want. It is great, just expensive.

I have always had difficulty drinking red wine. I enjoyed the taste, but usually would have a headache the next day, even from one glass. I would also get "flushing" on my face, with red and whites. I have a full bottle filter, but that is inconvenient when you are out and just have a single glass. These little filters really work! I have used them 6 times, and have had no headache or red face. I will buy them again

I seemed obvious to me that this tea bag-shaped product would have a string and tag (like a tea bag), to help you fish it out of your wine glass. Okay, a spoon works well, but I'd rather have a string hanging over the side of my wine glass. These are less expensive (than the Wand) but didn't seem to pull as much of the sulfites, tannins or histamines out of wine as the other brand of filter I have tried (the Wand). Still happy with the results though! Recommend for any woman over a "certain age" who gets sweaty and flush from her first sip of wine.

I didn’t realise it was made in China. There’s no info on the packaging about what’s in it.

These wine filter bags are amazing. They perform just as well as the wands but are much more affordable. I’ve used them in red & white wines at 6-8 fl oz, soaking for at least 8 minutes. As others have mentioned, adding a teabag string would make it easier to fish it out from the glass. As to whether or not the filters affect taste, aroma or texture, I didn’t notice any differences 98% of the time. In the one case I did, the astringency became more pleasant so that it didn’t linger too long in the mouth. I guess whether that’s a positive or negative is personal preference.I’m most likely intolerant to the tannins and/or antihistamines versus the sulfites. Sulfites don’t cause headaches...from what I read. Regardless, if you want to stick with lower sulfites, then look into organic wine, wine ‘made with organic grapes’ or South African wine.I would usually get mild to moderate headaches shortly after consumption and feel a bit heavy the next day. Now I can enjoy a glass or three without my body trying to “protect” me.

I am actually surprised that this product does not have a warning on it telling people to use it at their own risk as a CYA statement, seeing as how allergic reactions can turn into major and life-threatening events. Why?I have histamine intolerance and possible mast cell activation syndrome or mastocytosis. In short, I cannot ingest anything high in histamines (aged or fermented food or drink items, slow cooked foods, etc) without triggering an serious allergic reaction. My history with wine includes sunburn-like flushing on neck and face that is hot to the touch, fatigue, mental fog/confusion, etc. I took the claims on this product at face value to enjoy a glass of wine on Thanksgiving. To be certain (air quotes assumed) it would work, I even took my standard 6 dye-free Benadryl BEFORE drinking my wine (and while the histamine filter was supposedly working its magic for more than the recommended five minutes as described on the packaging. I also had my epi pen ready, just in case. You're right on the money if you guessed things did not turn out well. Not even 3/4 into my wine and I felt flush spreading from collarbone to my hairline. Instant fatigue. Runny nose. Feeling spacey. It took two more doses of Benadryl (my allergist-approved dose of 6 dye-free capsules) spaced at 30 minutes apart before I felt the reaction hit peak and the Benadryl started working. Thankfully, I did not need to use my epi pen or go to the ER.So that's 18 Benadryl on TOP of the histamine filter and I STILL had a serious reaction from a product that does NOT have a medical disclaimer on the packaging that I could find.If you have an epi pen? I won't tell you what to do, but I'll tell you that I am staying as far away as possible from these histamine filters and putting in for a refund.
