How to use The Thief:
- Sanitize/rinse with non-alcohol based sanitizer.
- Submerge empty Thief and remove.
- Hold Thief vertically and insert hydrometer. Twist to dislodge bubbles and prevent hydrometer from clinging to sides.
- Gently touch tip to the inside of the vessel to return sample. Avoid applying excessive force on pin.
- Important: If valve tip drips, tug pin firmly to re-seat.
- Temperature maximum: 120˚F or 49˚C

Why did I ever do this the old way with two separate tools? This so much more efficient, quicker, with less clean up to do. Love it!

This is an ingenious idea! Unfortunately it doesn't fit in a one gallon carboy which is what I use to brew! So I still have to pour a sample in a measuring cup and pour that into this thief and I can't set it down or it will spill out via the release valve at the bottom. Still nice to have though and maybe someday I will brew in a five gallon carboy! Returning the sample is very easy, just wish it fit my brew vessel!
