The heavy-duty tie-down straps feature non-marring coated steel S-hooks, and a robust flared-out aluminum handle that has a padded grip and a release pawl. The orange tie-down straps are user-friendly and come with pre-threaded webbing to prevent accidentally feeding webbing into the ratchet mechanism from the wrong direction. The SmartWeb straps are stronger and more abrasion resistant than standard webbing. Sewn-in soft tie loops prevent scratching, and protective hex caps keep the ratchet mechanism clean. You can use with globes, very helpfull and easy to use. You can store them under your seat and keep them there for every ocation you need to use one.

I own a fencing business and struggled to find quality ratchet straps that would hold up to constant use until about 10 years ago. That's when I stumbled across these straps. The built in loop helps make a much more secure connection, and the velcro straps keep things more organized. My crew generally has 6-8 of these straps on the truck/trailer at any given time, and they usually last about a year. For what we do to them that is more than acceptable to me. The price is probably the best feature about these straps. It might be one of the only things I buy that has actually dropped in price over the past few years.

The handle is a good size. It is easy to grasp and feels solid. I like the sewn-in loops too. It's easier than keeping track of a separate loop. The velcro strap makes it easy to secure the excess strap. Again, it is easier than keeping track of something to tie up the loose ends. And the box is a nice way to store them. Many times if you don't put something in the exact way it came originally it won't work. But I've put these in backwards and everything just fits. All in all it's a well thought out product.

I easily utilize my trailer and various straps 30 or more times per year, and these are the best narrow straps I've ever purchased. The straps are rugged and the ratchets are easy to use. Here are a few tricks if you're new to using ratchet straps:--I find it a lot easier to roll them up after every use before stowing them in my trailer box.--I also find it a much, much easier to separate the ends and reattached them after I've thrown the long strap over the load. Once you learn how to quickly reattach the end it's so much more convenient than always trying to thread the strap with the heavy ratchet still connected.--Finally, a trucker taught me to always hook one bungy cord on every strap...this keeps tension on the strap and you will never find your load coming accidentally loose again.Great straps.
