This isn't a half bad remote control. But it does leave a lot of room for improvement. The box comes with a fold-out instruction manual, charging cable, lanyard, and the remote. There are some issues I had with it though.Pairing was straightforward and worked immediately, as you can see in the screenshot. Once connected it was ready to go on my Android phone. However, if you have an iPhone, there are some steps you'll need to take first before getting it to work with it. These are included in the manual. The instructions weren't bad, but the print was extremely small. The text on the diagrams was even smaller, so small that I doubt somebody with even perfect eyesight could read it without straining their eyes.As you can see in the picture, the included charging cable isn't much longer than the remote. This means in most cases it will be plugged in right on a USB hub or somewhere it doesn't need to be to charge. The controls do take some getting used to, and it depends on what you're using it for. I got this mainly to remote control the shutter on it while scanning in 35mm film negatives. The other features are nice but they weren't absolutely necessary for me.Also, since the remote does not have clearly marked icons on the buttons, it can be difficult to land your finger on the correct button if you're not looking at it, rather, say, your smartphone's camera app. But I'm sure that it will become second nature over time with usage.

I was really excited for this remote, but none of the extra features advertised worked with my phone. The remote did not help my camera zoom in or out, scroll to a different mode. I'm thinking the scroll feature is more for literally scrolling social media. BUT, the button does work to take a picture! And that is what I mainly wanted for this device. It connected immediately upon reading the instructions and turning it on. It is large, but I won't lose it!

I tried this with an iPad 11 Pro and iPhone 11. Both are running version 18 of the appropriate iOS Operating System. There's a tiny instruction sheet with tiny type. I used my magnifying glass and followed the instructions. On the iPad, the only function this remote would trigger was the volume control - which it wasn't supposed to to. I tried it with Amazon Kindle and TikTok for scrolling. It didn't work with either.Using the iPhone 11, I was able to control the camera, though I was already so frustrated that I didn't try the zoom function (which didn't work on the iPad).I tried scrolling YouTube shorts on the iPhone and once again, this remote changed the volume.Maybe on some rainy afternoon I'll try this remote again, but for now it's going in the box with all the other gadgets that didn't work.Jerry
