This item started out working just fine. But it gave out 6 mos after purchasing it. The button doesn't "talk" to the light unit anymore, even when they are sitting right next to each other.

What I like about this is that it will remember the melody you choose (out of 36) even after an unplug or power outage! However, the directions are in small print (need magnifying glass if not 20/20 vision).Sound is very loud! Lights change according to the melody it is playing.Here is how to have each receiver remember the melody you want (you have to re-program each transmitter with each receiver - unless you want the "Door Bell" tone as the default) :1) Cycle through the melodies you want with the middle melody button on receiver.2) When the melody you want sounds off, release the melody button then PRESS & HOLD the bottom button on the receiver until you hear a tone - then simultaneously press the transmitter button with your other hand to lock-in the melody.Now you are done with that particular transmitter/Receiver pair up. You will need to pair up the others the same way.

Easy to install, quite loud, and plays a cheerful tune. My wife is hard of hearing and loves this doorbell.

That's why it's the one I have in my living room and makes all kinds of different sounds that you have cucaracha on there Christmas songs regalia songs I like it it's pretty cool I'll probably buy another one of those if I need it
