I bought a new loveseat and chair and due to their modern style, the feet were very short. I wanted to lift them up a bit and these were absolutely perfect. Very easy to install. Much better height for my knees.

My mom-in-law has two 1970s low slung very cool looking couches. The couches have been a house resident since they were born 50 odd years ago. Mom was beginning to make noise about replacing and looked to her favorite son-in-law, me, for a solution. Her almost 90-year-old knees, as well as her collective elderly canasta friend group's knees were having difficulty gaining vertical position once nestled within the sofa's very low height. I picture a humorous, to the younger generation, slow motion Cirque du Soleil dance act: one after another working arms, legs, hips, neck to gain advantageous momentum but never actually escaping the low folds of the sofa. Of course, I had to act this out in front of Mom which made me the worst son-in-law. To make egress simpler, choice was to purchase two new higher standing sofas or somehow elevate the legs. To regain favorite son-in-law status, I proposed attempting the latter option, $50. The blocks were received in good condition and were quick to install- lift sofa up, pop blocks under each leg. Results: The sofas now sit much higher. The acrobatic sitting/standing act has ceased. Friends who come over no longer look to other seating options or resign themself to standing. The only small hiccup is the wood risers do make the couches look clumsy, and this has been mentioned every time I visit, which makes me the worst son-in-law. The sleek couch legs now end with a chunk of wood to which I say, "$1000+ dollars or $50, your choice". Kudos to an inexpensive fix. Back to favorite son-in-law. And to those who have not guessed, I am her only son-in-law.
