Fairly heavy duty and completely stable. The metal "A-Frame" is thick and also has an oxidizing proof coating (no rust anytime soon). The wood is secured with two screws on both ends to prevent twisting or rolling. The wood itself is of good quality with a smooth finish. This may be a concern for some as excessively sweaty hands might have a problem with grip (maybe gloves would help?). Personally, I haven't had any issues with grip so far. Included were eight rectangular rubber feet for floor surface grip however, I use these on a carpeted floor without slipping so I haven't used, or seemingly needed, the rubber feet. There are many competitors out there and many (most) seem to be made of plastic. Most of the metal/wood push up bars are a bit expensive. These, I think, are an excellent value. They are of very good quality but priced competitively. For the money and the many possible combinations of exercises that can be done with them, I would recommend. Now drop and give me twenty!

These sturdy handles offer a good alternative to placement of my hands on the concrete floor of my workout area. I'd give them 5 stars if the wood was heavily padded. Without padding they are comfortable to grip and less extreme for my wrists. They make a great accompaniment to tall planks and inchworm-type exercises where the hands are walked in and out away from the feet.
