Yes, you will lose some wool the first few times you use it. Once that process is over, the pads retain their fibers and work just as well. I detailed my first large center console boat and they worked perfectly for my situation. The size helps when compounding and polish large surface areas. The pads appear durable. This was a great value for the money. Very happy with this purchase.

As soon as we started using it, the wool shed EVERYWHERE. Works well for buffing our boat. BIgger than expected.

These are good quality wool 7in washable polishing pads. These pads are for heavy oxidations use with 3 pads, they are off white (yellow). Good quality pads, I used only one to do a 40ft Yaht at 1000 rpm. Easy to use and great quality

Pad works as a wool pad should work. Be warned it throws a lot of fluff off the pad as you’re working, not sure if that’s normal for wool pads but it shines fiberglass well.

First off, these pads generate a ton of fuzz and fibres during first use. I recommend maybe using a spur on them before using them. I was using this pad to do some heavy oxidation removal on non-skid on a boat. For some reason the wool fibres didn’t seem to touch the high areas of the texture. I followed up with a heavy compounding foam pad on my DA polisher that seemed to fix this. I haven’t used it for smooth gel coat yet but I expect they will work fine for that application.

I was an auto body repairman 50 years ago in my family's shop and we only used wool pads to buff and shine our paint jobs. I recently had to paint the door of my SUV and bought a buffing machine as all my body shop tools exited my life long ago. The polishing machine I purchased is perfect but they only offered these foam pads at the store I shopped. So I bought one of the foam pads. They seemed like a good idea. However those things are dangerous to your paint finish if you are not well trained to use them. I knew what I needed to do. So, I bought these wool pads which arrived today. Wow, what a difference. They corrected the abrasive marks left by the foam pad and took me back to my youth in our family body shop. If you are a beginner don't use the foam pads. I wouldn't ever recommend the foam pads to a professional. Wool is the best way to go. These are good quality pads.

Not bad to clean but they shed like crazy, didn't wash and put in the dryier first. had fuzz all over the neighborhood. They act like a synthetic wool not the real thing. But they do the job at a cheap price.

I'm an amateur/rookie in using a buffer but watching youtube motivated me to try and renew part of my hood. The final step was using a buffer and wool pad to apply the compound. This wool pad performed just like in the video. I took some advice and spun it first before actually applying to shake off loose lint. Once I started, it was pretty easy to achieve the renewed finish I hoped for. There is still some area I'll need to get under the hood protector but I'm 100% confident once I remove it, it will be short work with this pad and buffer. Good buffing pad!!
