The quality and usefulness of this set is why it gets 5 stars. I honestly bought it for the holster alone, thinking that for the price the tools would be cheaply made. Not so! They are not fine quality but they are decent; good enough to be helpful in the garden. The holster is perfect, easy on and off, easy to adjust the size, very handy tool and drink pockets.

These get close to being good and comfortable to use, but miss that mark somewhat. Both pairs have a very wide range between open and closed, and when fully sprung open they're much bigger than one's grasp making extended use not that comfortable. The grips are fine, they're perfectly sharp, but that open spread is made for someone with tennis racquets for hands. Well, just shuffle your hand down the grips then? Nope, because then you constantly pinch the fastening clasp against your finger when you use them and rub a blister or trap your skin and get a blood blister instead.These are occasional use tools. For extended use, I'd probably look elsewhere. I'll pop these in the greenhouse for the small odd job, because I find them a little too awkward to use for long hauls of pruning and tidying.The accompanying pouch might do a job for someone, but it looks like more faff than just 'pockets'.

This set is perfect for gardening work around the house. The two different size shears are great for trimming small plants and flowers.The pouch is nicely made, and there’s a fair amount of room for a few extra gardening tools, and or supplies that you may need. The included web belt is quite adjustable so it should fit just about anyone.The included instructions indicate that the shears should be wiped, clean and dry after each use, and a light coat of oil is recommended to help prevent surface rust. Right out of the box I wiped mine clean and sprayed them with a light coat of WD 40.Working around the garden is a very pleasurable experience and having good quality tools makes it easier to get the job done properly while enhancing the overall experience.

The tool belt and shears worked but I was hoping for more. The belt itself sat just fine and didn't get lose, though I found it difficult to adjust while wearing. This lead to another issue, where the pouch was so loose on the belt, if I didn't make sure to hold onto both ends of the belt, the pouch would keep sliding all the way off. You have to be pretty mindful when putting it on and taking it off.As for the shears, they didn't seem to cut as well as some other shears I had, especially my ratcheting ones. The locking mechanism is both a blessing and a curse. It's an old school lock that just hooks on so it's not prone to breaking but it's also a pain to use with gloves on as the lock is small and requires some precision.Overall this is a decent set once you get it on. I do appreciate the big pocket fitting a water bottle. It's worth a shot if you do a lot of gardening or yard work. Not the best set but definitely serviceable and something I will continue to use.
